Hello
I have bought a N171 automatic nuvinci hub gear and I need advice on a strong and maintenance free setup of rim and spokes.
I know that the criss holmes rim is strong but I struggle to find one without the holes in it. I also need to use studded tires in the winter so the rim can't be too wide but I also fancy fat wheels. My plan is to make a stoked setup with a golden motor "smart pie"
I have used this in my front wheel but it is too weak when the speed is slow. -
Hi I also have a Yuba mundo but considering replacing the transmission system to the n360 as you have done. I use the bike to and from work and to bring 3 children in kindergarden.
The total weight on the bike when fully loaded with kids are 200kg, I also live in Norway and the hills here is steep so I have change the original gearing to 7 14-34 freehweel.
The main reason for the converson is my goal for a low maintenence family buss with fat rims and tires :) I also se the posibility to arange a stoke motor in this setup.Regards Jørgen

Hello all :)
It is not a good experience to have your child's foot jammed in the rear wheel.
I know this as well because the same happened to my 5yer old daughter on the first trip with my new Mundo last weekend.
No really damage to the foot, but we did ride to the hospital for a check.
where did you purchase your wheel skirts?
What about the Pugsley fork? the Axle-To-Crown: 447mm is closer to the std height on the yuba but wider.
