No longer have space for this, so looking to move it on.
Vintage Eddie Merckx, superb condition, couple of paint chips but nothing too bad
Campag front & rear mech
Campag headset
Campag crankset
Campag brakes
56cm frameYou'd probably want to change the pedals, but other than that its perfect. Spoke to a trader who reckons its worth in the ball park of £900 but would take offers around £780 / £800 that for a quick sale and to keep the missus off my case.
Available for pick up in Hackney.
Cheers,

Tried to swap this a few weeks back for a black/carbon one but had a bit of a runaround with potential buyers. I've managed to get a carbon one now so selling my white one.
Its 8 month old, great condition, rides perfectly true, there are a few braking marks on one side of the wheel where my pads slipped onto the white surface. It's not too severe, but I'd rather sell as it is rather than touch it up myself and make a bodge job of it. The other side of the wheel is perfect with no marks
Cash only to pick up in Farringdon - £170, no offers. Will include Halo tyre which is 3 month old.

There are certain areas in e.g Hackney that are bike theft hotspots. There should be some way of sharing this information with others online. There used to be a google maps mash up of bike thefts (i couldnt locate it now) but it was very little used. If people shared when they had bike/parts stolen you could build up a picture of the most risky places to leave a bike. There are also places where its common knowledge bikes are sold on. If you can get the police to mark you bike and you happen to locate it you have no chance of getting it back unless you can prove its yours. Ive heard of many poeple buying back bikes that have been stolen.
It's a really good idea. I work in web development and I'd love to explore something which surfaces issues like this, or at least try to do something as opposed to nothing other than, oh my bike has gone (again)
Worth looking into at work.

Had my Brooks saddle (and my pals too) stolen last night from outside Haggerston Park while the closing ceremony was on. Bike was well locked up but I wrongly assumed that the security and police presence would deter them. It was pretty close to the entrance, but still, don't take risks.
I bet it was like a kid in a sweet shop material for thieves last night down there

FFS - I'm new on the board. The search functionality, which I'm now very much aware of, and has since proved very handy, wasn't the first thing that sprang to mind. I thought it'd be more than acceptable to actually ask a question on the public message board without prejudice to the general users on here - apparently not.
I now know better so please get over yourselves.
