Yep not cheap but actually I think fair considering the parts and condition. You can get similar stuff for less, but depends what condition you're interested in. E.g. often not as polished, or scuffed, or run outside.
But anyway, horses for course. I bloody love them so I don't fancy selling them cheap for a quick sale. Happy to wait and if someone wants a mint set they're here :). If not, I'll just store them and they'll appreciate in value anyway. And they'd look great on my Bates frame if I ever get around to restoring that...

For Sale:
- Campagnolo track wheelset (clincher)
- Campagnolo wheel bags
- Condor tyre covers
- Michelin Hi-Lite Supercomp H.D. tyres
This is my absolutely stunning track wheelset. The hubs are Record pista from 1985-86 (dated from the stamped '11' and '22' on the lock nuts). The oil port design is very rare it seems and either these are a limited run or a road-track conversion. Either way they look incredible, especially when the high polish catches the sun. The rims are Campagnolo Omega Strada Hardox clinchers. The spokes are chrome finish and double tied and soldered.
I've used the wheelset on the track on and off for a year for racing, never outside. But I just can't really justify it, and I'm terrified they'll get written off in an accident. They deserve a vintage project really.
So some pictures:

Looking for £465 posted, or can arrange pick up in Southampton. Any less and I'll just hang on to them I think and save them for sunny days!
Cheers,
Alex

Sorry I was referring to the Ultegra model at $1550.
You're right though, the power2max seems a great option so far.
With all this innovation recently though it makes me wonder what the hell SRM have been doing for the last 20 years? They had a huge advantage in this market and seem to have failed to use. Surely having a cheaper version on the back burner or filing loads of patents would have been a sensible approach? They've certainly maintained their rep as a high precision/accuracy product but clearly there's a huge market here that they could have diversified into.

Pioneer looks an interesting option if it does come in at under £1k. Proper left/right measurement and a decent chainset. I think the Power2max Type-S is still a better option there though as A) nobody seems to have a clue what to do with left/right balance and pedal stroke data, and B) the last versions were a bit dodgy and with it being such a random department of a big company I do worry they might shut up shop and disappear again...
Still, nice to see another competitor. Hopefully forces prices down a bit.

I'm about to put a set of wheels up for sale, Omega Strada Hardox aero clincher rims on Record Pista HF hubs, but I'm struggling to ID the exact hub. Here are a few pictures:
Can anyone give me any information on them? HF record pista hubs are pretty common, but I can't find much/any information on ones with an oil port. The Nuovo versions did have oil ports but didn't have track axles (I think). These don't look like they've been drilled by the shop which leaves me a little clueless.
Thanks in advance for any help!

On the look out for my first track bike so I can get stuck into some racing this winter. Some flexibility on size but a 58.5 TT would be perfect I think. Not willing to splash loads of cash on this, but I've seen a few dolan track champ frames go fairly cheaply recently (~£150) so something like that as a frame/frameset or full bike could be sound. Based in Southampton but can travel.
Cheers!

Yep its 6.9 kgs as seen which isn't too bad for the size and wheel depth. The wheel decals are definitely divisive though, you're not the first to dislike them but others really take to them! They're un-dimpled 404 rims under the decals so I may yet de-badge them. Anyway they were £400 for the pair in mint condition so I'm not complaining. I've got some R-Sys on the way too though so it'll be nice to make the comparison with them and should take me to 6.8kgs
