I think the main question is if we are going to send anyone from the UK or not.. We havent really had a UK champs ages ago, we can check last years result in Manchester and ask them though, but after that I think it is opened to anyone. Isn't it?
Just please let me know if UK wants to keep its spot or not as it will be given up after that date.
Shall we look up that list? Or any other opinion? -
Hey everyone,
Could you please let me know if we take our spot or not? If so, who is going? I try to reach everyone here and on FB, please read it through and let me know. Thanks:)
Dear Poloverse,
The new EHPA council his coming to you with great news.
1.The EHPC will now take place every 2 years, to get better organized and improve the experience of the participating teams, while reducing the financial load on the teams that travel the most.
2.We are inaugurating the "EHPA Dominion Cup", a country based bench championship, held during the down years. The name was picked in honor to the Stanley Cup, to highlight the increasing similarities between our sports.
The "EHPA Dominion Cup" will be held on Nov 11-13th 2016 in Torino, in their amazing spot. 3 courts, 32 teams of 5 players, 40 min games. Schedule to be posted soon. The participating countries were computed using the World Map (https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=1PJIoJGmOy0dC-zEL-c3ymWElNgs). Every country with an active club was given a spot. A team must contain at least 3 players actively playing there. If your country contains an active club that wasn't represented in the map, please get in touch with us via email and we will fix the issue. 1 spot was given to the organizing country and 4 spots are on a "first come first serve" basis, for other teams to enter the event. We will open the "first come first serve spots on Oct 3rd, every country that hasn't claimed its spot by then will lose its spot. Countries that placed in the Top 32 in Zaragosa have their top teams selected as "captains". One of the players of the team must be present in the final list of 5. If the team wishes to give up their spot, it will go to the next team in line.
The list of participating countries and their teams is here:
It will be automatically updated as we go along.
We are looking forward to seeing you all there, defending your colors. We have many other exciting announcements to make and will communicate regularly. Please make sure all your club players like the page.
Please share.
Cheers,
The EHPA Committee -

Hi everyone!
After this exciting week I think it is time to talk about the future in the UK. :) It was so inspiring what they put up there. Let's see what we can do in 2016!
As most of you know last year we started a tournament series to improve the level of bike polo and give plenty of tournament experience for players who haven't had much before. Unfortunately it happened at the same time when London went really quiet as well. I know that we had loads of support and some negative comments on it, but I believe it was a successful year. Not to mention that apart from the opening event everyone was welcomed from London as well. Thanks for the support though, in the beginning many London players reinforced me that it was a great idea.
It was great to see that we had tournaments every month, sometimes even two or three in a month. The level raised month by month. Although the main aim changed throughout the year (not just city bench, London played etc.) and I was happy to see that loads of old and new players get involved in organizing and participating.
Thanks to Canterbury / Birmingham / Sheffield / Glasgow / Manchester / Bristol for the organization.
So let's see what to keep for the future:
- Regular tournaments (every city chose a month and made that happen)
- Different formats: bench, normal, single shuffle, ABC which suits best the location and the organizers
- Planning ahead (tried to keep the same Sundays)
- Everyone welcome (like it happened last year apart from the first tourney)
As Matt started a conversation about the UKHBPC, I think it is a great start for a new year as well. I'm happy to keep up to date information about the tournaments and talk to the city reps about who can do what and when (like this: https://goo.gl/mfb6tL ). As soon as he is back from Timaru I'll talk to him about this.
I'd like to thank all your support and participation last year. The series provided plenty of opportunities to compete against each other and have a lovely time as well. Thank you!
What about now? Keep going! As probably you heard the amazing Bristol courts are going to be taken away from us, so we are planning to organize a
TAP OUT Tourney on the 20th of March (Sunday) at St. Pauls.
Information coming soon, get your teams ready!
Any constructive idea welcome, please join this group on Facebook for information about the tournaments, although we will try to use this platform as well.

Hey, so far John,Oli, Danielle,Joe seemed interested. The post had 445 views I'm not sure how it's counted but I guess if someone else wanted to go they would have said something.
Deadline is tomorrow, could you please let me know if we should keep our spot or not?
What about top players, are they playing in other teams?
Thanks
