2 questions.
First one, what could I use to make a back support for my Timbuk2 messenger, it's really annoying having something sticking into your back all the time.
Second, would I be better off putting a grippier tyre on the front or rear to stop me from slipping? My rear lugano is fairly worn and there isn't much tread left so I was thinking of sticking a zaffiro on there for now until I can afford something better. But it'd leave me with 25 on the front and 23 in the rear. Or should I just stick the other zaffiro on the front and put up with the shit ride.

If you're actually "scared" of the rain i.e. not comfortable riding in wet conditions, perhaps you should start using a break, before worrying about your choice of tires... Riding brakeless is bad enough as it is, but to do so without 100 percent confidence is a recipe for disaster. Don't get me wrong I'm not taking the moral high ground here, I ride brakeless myself... Just saying.
Yeah I know what you mean, and I did on my last bike during the winter, but I'm riding a precursa with alpinas so I've no real choice but to go brakeless.
I'm not really afraid as such, I'm just always wary and looking to decrease the risk. I suppose the whole thing about the tires is because of the last slip during the winter I figured I'd just get a new set and ploug through it.

Luganos are actually pretty good in the wet.
The kevlar strip yoke is pretty much worn out on the front and the back, so it's just like a slick.
Had a little slip turning at a roundabout today and it just reminded me.
Was thinking about getting GP4000s but they're expensive and I heard they wear really quick when brklzz.
The zaffiros would just be for October-February.

I'm afraid of the rain. Went out and bought a set of zaffiros in the hope that they'll have a little bit more grip that the ridiculously slick Luganos I have on at the moment.
Last winter I ended up with the right side of my face all swollen and a dislocated shoulder when my rear wheel slipped out from underneath me. I was rolling along slower than walking pace.

Class bike, but the Leader forks let it down.
