hi,
is a 1/2 x 3/32" chain ok for a dawes kingpin?
also, i don't have the sigma connecting link, is it ok to just use one of the existing pins to connect with?
and i have this old mce chain extractor tool, i can't seem to get the chain to stay while tapping out the old link. any tips? i think you push down on one side of the extractor on the floor with the metal pole pushing it down, to keep the two arrow shaped bits gripped on the sides of the chain or on the side of the chain? and then wind out the pin?
if i pull the wheel back in the dropout right to the back, and then wrap the chain around tightly, thehn when i attach the back wheel and chain, when i move the wheel to the front of the dropout, that should give enough chain play right??
many thanks for your help.

hi there, i just had a front brake cable inner break on my dawes kingpin.
it was old but i should have lubed it up a bit, the end was dry but slighty rusty.
anyhoo.
the front of the kingpin has a front weinmann alloy brake lever.
the disc on the brake lever is a small round disc shape, if you can find something on ebay that will work can you send me the link either in reply or PM?
alternatively, if you have a front cable inner laying around that will work please advise.
many thanks.

hi there, here's a nice vintage carbon-steel frame (58cm) from top of bottom bracket to top of main tube) up for a trade which might interest you.
it is in good condition, very clean and straight frame , with forks, and vintage weinmann brakes of good repute. i am based in west london.
for a trade, i would be interested in either/or:
a pair of cycling shoes in a uk size 9 that will clip onto shimano deore xt
cycling clothing, i like retro cycling clothing, (raleigh from 70s/80s)
a musical instrument
nintendo wii games?just throwing some ideas out there if this is something you like.
would be good to swap something i don't use or need for something you don't use or need. -
