Well then. Considering buying a Lo Pro Frame for £175. Un named frame but is of good quality and condition. It takes a 700c back and a 24 inch Front. The Seller says he has some 24 inch tubs and tyres that could be sold with the frame (but he hasn't given me a price for them), although looking at the price of 24 inch tub tyres, it appears that they are bloody expensive. After speaking to Airnimal bikes (odd folding things), they said they would sell me a 24 inch Clincher road wheel for £80 New, and would include a Schwalbe durano tyre for an extra £32.99 . Nearly £115 for a wheel and a tyre sounds like a rip off to me, so what do I go for ? Any help in decision making would make me a very happy person.

It's finished - and been for a test ride around the block too!
Pics as promised:
Thats come out nice there. I think if you were to upgrade it, a new stem would make it look loads better - something like this : http://ebay.eu/1d6nPtt

Sorry to bring up the old thread, but I bought the Jam package for £99 on offer two years ago. tbh the quality is not great, the tapers on the Lasco cranks twisted and became screwed after not very long, so I bought some 70s SR Crank arms, and a new Andel Chain ring, which are much better. The KMC chain is, well, a KMC chain. The tyres have lasted pretty well, but then again I don't skid every 10 seconds. I'm still using the wheels on my Peugeot build, although I'm looking to upgrade soon !

Evans price matched a Dura Ace 16t 1/8 Sprocket for me, and gave me a discount code so I can purchase it for 8.99, down from 17.99 I think. ( I listed CRC as the website selling for 8.99 but they only had 3/32 so I will get from Evans). Are these good quality parts, and should I get the DA NJS Lockring as well, or should I just use any old lock ring like a Token one etc.
If any of you could be of help that would be great. Thanks

My Latest Edition of the Fixed Gear. 70s Peugeot Carbolite with Reasonable but cheap Red Rims, SR Crank Arms, Andel Chainring, Stronglight BB, Selle Italia Turbo Saddle, Some Unknown Headset, ITM Stem and Sakae Drop Bars. Pedals are Eastern with Restrap Horizontals.
The Sprocket and Lockring are crap, and I am about to purchase a 16t Dura Ace Track Sprocket and NJS Lockring. Evans Price matched the Sprocket, and are offering me the Sprocket for £8.99 down from £17.99 with a discount code. Will have to get the lock ring from elsewhere. Does this sound like a good deal, and do you recommend the DA Sprockets ?
Cheers

as you can see i had a bit of trouble with the forks, there was a huge bulge which gave me (and three others) a lot of trouble to get out!!!
i had to get a new stem, new saddle (the charge spoon is great), new wheels, chain, tyres and inners........ i bought new dia compe brake levers, new bar tape, put loose bearings into the bottom bracket with EP grease.
the forks i knocked back into submission with gentle encoragement with a hammer......
the decals were ball ache to put into place, you cant see the bubbles in the photos - i should have given myself more time when putting them on, but i had time restrictions. but they dont look too bad.
the paint job was done here in Portsmouth: http://safetyairservices.co.uk/home
nice guys and very clean spray - but the paint is very soft and chips with the slightest touch - quite disapointing.i was so used to the bullhorn handle bars on my fixie - i repositioned the levers and angle of the handlebars for a similar feel (compare the last two photos).
i have the mud guards and original seat going spare if anyone wants them..... the cranks, BB and brakes i left the same. Its a project after all and was spending quite a lot on it already.
right where's them hills?
Very nice pug or should I call it eddy Merckx ! Great build there
