For Sale Bob Griffin Frame Fork and Headset 52cm C-T
A beautiful, classic Guinness/chocolate brown hand built frameset with white decals from a small, sought after frame builder
Sold to me off this forum as being Reynolds 531 plain gauge tubing but I’m not so sure so don’t buy on this basis
No rust or dings but some small paint loss to top tube where I placed protective tape. It is down to the bare metal which is shiny and would easily touch up or tape over again otherwise generally good condition
52cmC-T
54cm TT
Nice long, semi horizontal drop outs, perfect for single-speed/fixed conversion or winter bike.
Braze-ons for one downtube shifter and one bottle cage mudguard eyes.
100mm deep fork dropouts
126mm rear, but works fine with both 120 track hubs and 130mm road spaced hubs.
1” threaded Tange headset, smooth
Will take 700cc wheels but the brakes will be at their lowest as I think it was originally equipped with 27” wheels

Don't fancy riding there with a heavy box of parts... More likely to drive and take the mountain bike for a jolly
There's these in Bolton a little closer.

That NW passage route looks pretty awesome, not a huge deal of climbing on paper but the elevation profile/maps looks like it has long climbs/descents through some lovely scenery?
The last section from Longridge is very tiring but thats not the problem its the weather! It's held on what for some reason usually turns out to be one of the coldest miserable days of the year (but don't let that put you of!)
In the past you've been able to enter on the day so if you're local then you can decide on the day, or even ride the 100.
I normally ride the 200 as a DIY a couple of times a year when the weathers better, then it's a cracking ride -
