I've just bought a new bike and only have space for one, so sadly my faithful Loverdi has to go. Made by Louis Van Dijk in Breda - I've converted it to 11 speed, with a Sram Rival groupset, Praxis chainrings, Specialized Toupe 130 saddle and a Shimano wheelset. It's a 58cm seat tube, 57cm top tube. The Gatorskins have plenty of life left in them as well.

The paint is a little tatty, especially on the chainstay (jammed chain a few years ago) but it's a lovely and unusual fluro pink fade. It also needs new lever hoods as they've started to split where the cables come under the bar tape. They've lasted over four years though so it's not a regular thing.

Otherwise it's all good to go! I'm based in SE26.

Looking for £250, which is significantly less than the parts I've put into it.

The paint isn't in perfect condition with a number of chips on the top tube and especially on the chainstay (jammed chain a few years ago). It also needs new lever hoods as they've started to split where the cables come under the bar tape. They've lasted over four years so it's not a regular thing. The headset bearings also could do with replacing, but being a threaded headset this is pretty simple (and cheap) to do.

Otherwise it's all good to go! I'm based in SE26.

It's the chrome railed version, but with black painted rails so you can pretend you have carbon (they don't seem to do this anymore). Weighs 242g on my kitchen scales.

Someone rode past me yesterday wearing a rather fine looking rusty red coloured long sleeve jersey, but with black rear pockets - looked like merino. Does that sounds familiar to anyone?

Do you need proof of purchase to use the repair service? I've got some crash damage to the shoulder of a jersey, but it's a few years old and I'll be damned if I know where the receipt is...

Ended up just getting a new headset, it's a lot cheaper than I thought and the one in the bike was original (c. late 80s) anyway so was probably due for a change! Thanks for the tips though!

It sits flush to the fork crown - so it wouldn't be able to go any further down - its just that you can lift it up easily, but there's no side to side play so I'm sure it's the right size. Just might be that the race was stretched a touch, or maybe that the steerer is a bit worn?

Condor's threaded 1 inch fork is £140, but BLB's is only £80 - any experience/opinions on the quality of both? Are BLB components fairly good quality, or is it better to stump up the extra cash for the Condor version?

I've just bought a new fork to replace a crash damaged one, and transferred my old crown race over. It sits very closely (no visible gap or play) so I'm sure it's the right size (26.4mm), but it doesn't clamp on tightly like it should - just sits on the fork crown, albeit with no movement, so I can just lift it off again.

Is this okay? I figure when I tighten down the headset it'll be under compression anyway, and there's no play in the race, but it still doesn't feel quite right...
