For a couple of months now i've had a project envisaged in my mind that I'd love to get sorted out as soon as I can lay my hands on the necessary funds.
As somebody born into an English household in Germany I'd love to have a bike that reflects this. What I'm looking for is a 531/531c frame sized 58-60 made by a British manufacturer (Raleigh, Bob Jackson, Mercian.. you get the drift and I'm aware there will be price discrepancies here) in navy blue and ideally with a chrome fork + rear end.
I have pretty much settled on the colour and will probably respray the frame in order to get the colour I want (probably RAL 5011).
Since I plan on respraying, a pantographed frame would be great, since this adds additional charm and also because it makes the frame maker's identity verifiable. Furthermore, this means that the frame's paintwork does not need to be in perfect condition. In order to plan my budget, I'd like an estimate of how much this would set me back.

Cheers!

Repainted Reynolds 531 frame + fork for 30€
Can anyone perhaps help me identify the maker of the frame?
BY should be 1985 because of the 50th anniversary special edition Reynolds decal.
Gipiemme dropouts.Unfortunately I'm no expert on these things.

Could this be the real deal?
- An unappreciated treasure?
Seller claims it says Colnago, Shimano 600 doesn't sound too bad in any case.
Can anyone try and help me identify this?
I can't make out any typical club marks but yet again there seems to something on the fork and stem with which I unfortunately can't do anything..The fool in me hopes it's just been resprayed by somebody.
Need a prompt response..

Depends what you mean by "fixing it up".
A concours rebuild? Not a top of the range model, so probably not from that point of view.
As a hack/commuter? Why not?
I would want to pay less than £100.
You are in Germany right?
5km away from the guy selling it.
Was planning on using it as a commuter.Unsure though since I've already got an old trek t400 that I use as everyday bike and found for 90€ last year. Unfortunately this one has a slight problem with the bearings in the front wheel (and I'm not too fond of the colour :) )
So I was considering selling it off again , but I don't know how much better the raleigh would be... -

Is this worth fixing up if I can get it for a bargain?
Newbie here. -

So 135 Euros to Germany?
And is that a rather large ding in the paintwork on the top tube, or what's the black/dark thing there?
So.. 20 Euro postage included in 135 GBP ?
Can we please settle on one currency?I'd assume that postage to Germany would be cheaper than postage to the UK, so I'd expect a bit less on the price side.

Since I am 90% sure that the front hub of my bike has got a slight crack, I am looking for a new front wheel.
100mm width, 700x25c if possible needed.
I would need it shipped to Germany and I'm looking for pretty much anything, as far as it fits, isn't broken and comes relatively cheap.
A White deep v (if anyone has one) would be nice, but as said above, certainly isn't a must, as I am above all eager to cycle without having to fear that my front wheel has suddenly disappeared.
Should anyone have a matching flip flop rear wheel at a good price, I would also be interested.

I came into possession of a 1989 Trek 400 bike for 90€ since I needed a means of transport quite urgently.
Frame height 59/60 cms
It's got
Matrix Rims
Suntour Accushift Gear Levers
Dia Compe Edge Derailleurs
Shimano Brake Levers - The old catalogue says Z-Series
A fitting pair of really nice slim brakesPaint is in good condition (blue w yellow decals)
All in all.. what is it about worth, since I'm considering going for a nicer looking setup in the future and anyway would probably need a new stem to ride it much longer?

Hello there,
I am intending to sell a classic Raleigh Royal Frame.
Framesize: 60cm
The paint is not in excellent condition, however overall it still looks quite good.
In the tube for the bottom bracket there is a screw that prevented the bracket I wanted to insert from fitting in. The screw is held in place by a piece of plastic that is branded with the Raleigh logo, so i assume that it is some kind of cable guide and not really rubbish. In any case it should not be difficult to either file off the screw or take it out in some other way.
Minor dent in the upper tube, as with many of the Royal frames for sale, presumably due to the drop bars hitting the tube accidentally.
The Raleigh logo on the front has held nicely and is in my opinion one of the lookers of the bike.
Decals are intact to about 85%, everything is still clearly readable.
Dropouts are horizontal and from Suntour.
There is no fork included.
The frame is situated in Germany, so continental shipping would be preferred.
I am looking for 40GBP for the frame, and will put in a new Shimano 123mm BSA bottom bracket for 10GBP if you wish so.
Shipping costs not included.I will put up some pictures as the day progresses.
If there are any concerns about trust and guarantee that you will receive your frame I would be happy to try and find a solution that fits us both.
Is this still available?
