On the HackneyCyclists twitter feed, it is saying the poor girl has died. I really hope that isn't true but if so, that would be 2 people on bikes and 1 pedestrian yesterday along - 1 hit and run (car), 1 HGV, and 1 coach :(

Don't know about anyone else but Clarkes Coaches are generally driven by idiots so them being involved was not a surprise :(

I don't know if the file picture is accurate, if the person on the bike was crossing at the cross cycle lane from the island by the school to London Road or not.

Was initially reported as a female cyclist but has since been amended to 'woman' so not sure if cyclist or pedestrian. In any case, another fatality :(

This. Atterbury Street is the one by the Tate. Page Street can get blocked by the Warbuton's bread van about 08:00 but he soon turns off into the service road behind Marsham Street. He has to wait for them to unlock a gate.

Up the main road, thru the clusterf*ck that is P Square, up Birdcage Walk etc? Palace Street and the roads connecting it to Buckingham Gate are also full of trucks and scaffolding. And they want to make Palace Street a Quietway?
I currently wind through by Tate Britain, down to Page Street, out on to Horseferry Road by the cafe, left by C4, right at the next roundabout and then down the back of House of Fraser but I think just as many trucks at the moment :(

Wigmore Street/Welbeck Street junction, just behind Debenhams. Not sure of HGV type but quite a bit of renovations going on at top of Marylebone Lane junction. Sight lines for pedestrians in places are not great.

I come from the direction of Victoria and keep missing the turn right for the front of the station. Ended up hurtling under the tunnel and entering station from the back. Which is annoying as my platform is close to the front .....

Just had the Brazilian black bean with rice lunchbox from Leon. Marked as vegan on their menu so thought I'd try it and it was well nice.

Would a Rapha Ladies softshell be warm enough if it gets a tad colder than it is now? I tried on the medium with a fitted long sleeve base layer and it fit but I couldn't layer anything else. Next size up would be too big. V tempted in the current sale. My current Gore softshell is pretty snug but gets a bit chilly around 5 degrees.

Corinne Dennis Winter Robaix tights - you can choose whether to have the pad or not. Pay extra if you want it. Pretty warm on this morning, but not as warm as Gore Bikewear ladies unpadded ones with the Windstopper stuff that does what it says on the tin.

I have a medium in the Harrington jacket which is a similar cut but without the waist shaping. I'm a 12-14 and it fits great. Bit too warm for it at the moment.

Staines Road is not too bad. Dead straight as its an old Roman Road. I live just off there near the Beehive pub, and there are quite a few people cycling in the direction of Hounslow of a morning. Some left hooking at Martindale Road for some reason.

It is a fairly notorious junction which suffers from high speed and left hooking. The actual Hanworth Road, which comes off of the main Airman Junction, is supposed to be 20mph and goes down by the police station, but I doubt its enforced. However, the nature of the main road (two lanes each way), which goes over a bridge just afterwards (with an accompanying cycle and ped bridge at the side), which gets madly backed up on the way to Heathrow, means that sudden changes of lane to use the Hanworth Road as a rat run are sadly common. This has caused many accidents with cars, vans, buses and motorbikes as well. Hope the lady recovers.
