Its been over two weeks since my partner and I had our bikes stolen and the cops still haven’t been to collect the CCTV footage. Been down the markets on the lookout too and I'm completely blown away by what is obviously stolen.
Last Sunday at BL we watched two kids wheel a bike up on its back wheel. One of the older dero's pulled a pair of bolt cutters out of a bag near that doorway they stand in and they snipped the lock off the front wheel. They then had the audacity to stand the bike up against the kerb with all the others and declare it for sale! It makes me so angry seeing how obvious the bikes are stolen and nothing is done about it!!!! Now I'm p*&#ed just thinking about it. -
Hey all,
I know this is a flogged thread but I just thought I'd pass on a handy little find I had the other day. I was in Decathlon and spotted a BTwin aluminium seat post they stock. Its 23.4mm and comes with two shims to upsize it to 25 and 27.2mm. I bought it knowing it may be too thin (0.6mm) to try on my Pug as I was in need of a post. However, being a steel frame I managed to tighten it up nicely without too much strain on the frame. Oh, and did I mention its £12.99.

Another point on Brun's story and something worth considering....
It really scares the shit out of you when you're driving and a cyclist, unbeknown to them, comes within an inch of their life as a result of some ridiculous move on the road. I've been in both situations, behind the wheel and on the saddle where i thought someone was going to die. I know the outcome is far worse for the cyclist, but it can also ruin someone’s life if someone has died as a result of their actions. Even if it wasn't their fault. -
actually there is absolutely no damage to the seat tube and there is still at least 2mm of room in the clamp. I might just go get an even smaller one for the fun of it.... thanks for the complement!!!!!
