Wow, that bike is awful. Each to their own I suppose.

Anybody riding tomorrow? I have a day off and the weather doesn't look too bad. I'll be heading down by the airport and around that area, maybe up to Morpeth if anybody fancies it.

And another one bites the dust. It's an awful bike anyway.

Tyres pumped up to 130psi make the best noise. Not very comfortable like.

Using the RD2 cranks too, yea. Just looked it up on the Sugino site, the BB (103mm) gives a 45mm chainline which is allegedly what the Mavic Ellipse hubs give. Seems the Mavic hubs do give a non-standard chain line. Think I'll just accept it as it is.
What I have found though is a stiff link in the chain, presumably from where I have removed the master link and rejoined to a standard one. Nowt goes smoothly.

Just finished my build, finally. Fitted the cog, lock ring and chain and guess what, it sounds like a tank. Anybody any ideas what it could be? I was thinking chainline possibly.
Parts I'm running are a Sugino RD2 bb, Mavic Ellipse hub on back, an EAI Goldmedal 15T, Sugino Messenger 44T ring and Izumi Super V if that's a help.
I've tried slackening the chain off a bit and it still makes a racket.

Depends on how far forward you have the rear wheel, pulled back in the dropout you might squeeze one in. But if the wheel shifts a bit you're fucked! I'd probs stick with a 28 max. 23's are what I'm running and that's pretty tight with the wheel pulled right forward in the dropout.

I've got a week off work and it coincides with me finishing my build, just need the EAI Gold Medal cog and Izumi Super V chain I've just ordered from them, I hope to god it comes. I've paid the extra for the 24/48 hour delivery.

Made quite an order with them consisting of 5 different items, I wonder how long I have to wait to receive them. I'm complaining already in anticipation of shoddy service and it's only been 10 minutes since I ordered.

Bollox. If anybody has any suggestions on how to upload a photo with an iPhone to here, feel free to let me know. It makes playing 'bike tag' very tedious.

Has it worked? I'm trying to do it on my iPhone but it is just showing a little blue box with a question mark but not showing the image!
