I've picked these up second hand about 6-7 years ago and I've never used them. The hubs feel reasonably smooth but probably could do with an overhaul and repack and generally cleanup. The rims are in good shape and run true. Lots of life left in these wheels. The rear spacing is 130 mm and takes an 8-speed cassette. Both quick release skewers are present.

Collection from Romford (RM2) please. Looking for £40 for the pair. I've got a wheel box for these so I can post at buyers cost but would prefer collection. Evenings and weekends please.

I bought this a few years ago second hand and I don't know a lot about its history. I believe it's aluminium from around 1995/6. Rear spacing is 130 mm. It has a braze on for the front mech. The headset requires replacing in my opinion but may be serviceable with a bit of TLC. The paintwork is in pretty good condition but with a fair few chips and scrapes (see pics). No dents though.

Collection for Harpenden or Canonbury area (N1) on some week days. I am willing to post if necessary.

I've had problems getting these to seat properly. Have managed with washing up liquid and pressure but a bit of a faff. Could just be me...

I saw the set and was tempted but I wasn't convinced by the mount and also the lack of side flare. I want to be able to transfer the front light quickly and easily between bikes. Might opt for led torch and mount as shown previously in the thread. (and get multiple mounts for quick transfer between bikes).

Got myself an RSP Astrum based on the reviews on this thread. I'm very impressed. Smaller and brighter than I was expecting.

All I need now is a not-too-expensive front light to replace the cateye opticube that I've got (not too bad but not great either).

Also, are MTB shoes allowed on road bikes? I'm guessing not...

Why are road shoes so ugly. Can anyone recommend some road spd shoes? I want to give spd a try and I don't want to break the bank. I would also prefer ones which you can walk in without too much trouble.

Thoughts anyone?
