Ribble 7005 Tiagra/105 mix, 2cm too big but may be worth the compromise :)

£SOLD
Selling on behalf of a friend but can vouch for the fact this bike has been well cared for with regular shop services and stored indoors.
Was purchased directly from Ribble at the end of 2012 for approx £920 plus the rack and SPDs purchased afterward. The derailleur and chain were upgraded from Tiagra to 105 due to stock issues (attached original invoice). He has now upgraded to a custom build from Condor, so no longer uses this bike.
The ride is great and it's in very good cosmetic condition, just a few nicks and marks here and there.
The "Large" 58cm frame is designed for someone between 5.9-6.0ft according to Ribble. My friend is about 6.2 so as you can see in the picture he fitted an extender to the stem to bring the handlebar up a bit higher. The setup as pictured is comfortable for him but you could easily remove the extender.
· Ribble Winter Audax 7005 "Large" frame (58cm C2T) (see their website for more info)
· Standard finishing kit as supplied by Ribble Carbon fork, seat post and saddle, Deda bars etc (see invoice).
· 10 Speed Tiagra Groupset with replacement/upgraded 105 derailleur and chain
· Shimano R500 Wheels with Gatorskins
· Tubus light weight rack
· Shimano SPD pedals
He’s looking for £325
Available to see/ride in London N7. Feel free to get in touch with any questions.
Cheers!

I knew it was a long shot that someone would have that much cash available and be prepared to buy someone else's ready made pride n joy but worth a try before the inevitable.
Still open to offers backed up with sound reasoning though before I break it down to parts. It's been a while since I was actively buying and selling :)
-
If I broke it down for parts I was thinking I would end up with something like this:
Dura Ace 7900 group - an even more used one just went for £565 on eBay, so let's say £500
Bob frame £700ish
Wheels £275-300
Ck Ti Headset £100ish
Arione approx £40
Stem, bars, post and secure skewers about £100
Total 1700ish, so prepared to accept an offer 1550. Am I way off? I'd be interested to hear your valuation.

Selling my old pride and joy, I only managed about 600 miles from new before baby came along then I wrapped it in blankets (the bike). It's been diligently maintained, only ever stored indoors and ridden in fair weather.
I’m about 6ft 5 and the setup as pictured is perfect for me, I’m certain it could be adjusted to suite anyone 6ft+.
The breakdown:
24.5” Bob Jackson Olympus
- 853 Main Frame
- 725 Stays
- 631 Fork
- Internal cable guides in top tube
- Warranty Card and receipt
- Enamel Bob Jackson Head Tube Badge
- Frame saver applied internally (by Bob Jackson)
- Pannier eyes
- Custom paint “copper and ivory”. Barbers pole, lugs lined, pristine condition, only
couple of tiny unavoidable nicks in line with careful use over 600 odd miles
- 853 Main Frame
Full Dura Ace Compact 10 speed 7900 groupset
Chris King Titanium Headset
Fizik Arione saddle in pretty much as new condition
Hand built Spin Industries CXR Wheels; premium alloy rims and spokes, ultralight, tough
and fast- They were built by Spin Industries at 'spinmyride.com', Spin Industries now
have a new site 'ridefullgas.com' where they still sell equivalent wheels for approx £450
- They were built by Spin Industries at 'spinmyride.com', Spin Industries now
Continental Gp4 tyres and tubes in great condition
Pitlock Secure Skewers, 2x key nuts and back up code
Kool Stop Salmon Dura Ace Brake Pads
FSA carbon seatpost
Ritchey classic stem (4.5" C2C)
Ritchey classic alloy handlebars
The attached picture is just after I first built it, had a Shimano 105 groupset then, will update the pic ASAP but for all intents and purposes its as the picture, bar the groupset is now a superior Dura Ace 7900.
I am hoping to sell as a complete bike rather than break it down to parts, I guess there's a chance this is the kind of build someone else would enjoy too? However, I will break it down in a month or so if not. I would be happy to let it go to a good home for £1550 ono.
Welcome to test ride in London N7 and feel free to ask any questions.
Thanks for looking!

Rather than drop the asking price I'm throwing in yet more goodies! As you can see in the attached image:
- White Carratec saddle (well used but structurally sound)
- No brand black plug in bullhorn/extenders
- 7 speed cassette and lock ring
- Pair of SunShine vintage alloy skewers
- Shimano flat brake levers
All that, plus the crate above for £100 and I'll drop it off anywhere within a few miles of N7.

Yes! Well spotted and that's exactly the kind of thing I used it for :)
Would happily let you have it for a beer but to be honest you'd probably find it easier buying one for a couple of quid from your local hardware store?
I used to get big generic bolts and washers this store in Clerkenwell: http://www.clerkenwellscrews.com/
There are a few ScrewFix stores scattered around London too.
You might want to take the BB cup in and/or some measurements they should be happy to help you out cobbling together the bits you think you might need.
PM me if you want any more info.
Cheers! -

Hi all, I'm reluctantly hanging up my mechanic's overalls and clearing out the workshop. I have a crate full of useful parts, some good quality, some new, some old, some cheap but useful bits. A general assortment of bits and bobs that you will find very handy if you're regularly repairing, converting and renovating bicycles.
I am selling this lot in one go, I'm even throwing in the crate (though it is split and on its last legs). See picture and listed below details of whats included. Any questions just send me a message.
If you sold all the parts individually (easier said than done I know) you'd be looking at well over £200 but I'm looking for £145, including the carry crate, collected from N7 0RE, near Tufnell Park tube.

Hi there, I'm selling my 2014 Ortlieb handlebar bag which has been sat on the shelf waiting to fullfil it's destiny for far to long.
It's boxed, as good as new and includes the lockable mounting kit. (see pics).
I think it cost me about £70 back then, would be happy to see it go to a good home for £50.

Hi Shroom,
For commuting you'll probably appreciate the convenience of modern click-buckles over those fiddley Nelson straps. They look nice but aren't fun to handle when you're cold, wet and tired on the side of a busy road. You'll probably also want a quick release bracket.
As luck would have it, I am just about to list my "Super C" (one of these):
https://www.carradice.co.uk/index.php?page_id=product&under=range&product_id=33And the SQR Quick Release system with bracket:
http://www.carradice.co.uk/index.php?page_id=accessoriesThe bag is literally unused, as good as new, been in my cupboard the last couple of years. The SQR was fixed to my bike for a while but otherwise unused.
New, combined price is £110, I'd let them go together for £80 (as good as new), can drop off in inner London or collect from NW5.
All the best!
