I agree with Brickman, it's definitely a personal thing. My hubby has a B68 on his bike and I think it's amazingly comfortable. I put the women's brooks on my bike though and found it horrendous! Two rides was the most I could manage (with lots of stopping and fiddling with the position!) before selling it on. In fairness though, my hubby's bike is quite sit up and beg whereas mine was a full on racer. Still, I wouldn't try one again!
I hope the OP's Dad is pleased with his though!

Not very 'cool' I know, but I ride an 08 Specialized Langster. It's tiny and being more of a mountain biker, I find the geometry really comfortable. It's also loads lighter than anything else close to it price wise.
I'd highly recommend it for anyone who wants something with lots of grin factor!
I've had quite a few ss mtbs, but after having more daughter, I'm currently appreciating the advantages of gears off-road!
Hi there, don't know if you are only interested in gears, but if you'd contemplate a ss, I'm selling my Specialized Langster which is in excellent condition. I'm just under 5'4" so know it would fit!
I'm a bit new on here, but you can check out my ad on Singletrackworld (a mountain biking forum), it's got a few pics and all the details on there, but if you want more info, my address is: Juliet.f.johnsonATgmailDOTcom
