congrats m-x, good choice!
i had two different gangstas as my daily whips before and really liked them - great frames to throw around. then some two years ago i decided (also due to some minor size issues) to move a bit towards faster + skinnier tyres side but keep the sloping steel feeling of gangstas, and wrote the first email to tony. and have never regretted that choice.
zephyr mate, thanks for the kind words. yours is looking really good as well and nice to hear that the first impressions are positive. especially liking the color - reminds of the forest green on '93 cannondale track, which has always been one of my favorites out there.
might want to upgrade the cranks at some point myself and try a less aggressive drop bar, but if you're happy with them, so be it. looking forward to some more after ride photos!

there are not too many supernauts out there, and as a happy owner of one i like to follow how things are rolling with others.
mine got stuck to a painter for a longer time as well, but that was due to problems with wet paint on the carbon fork. i wanted a top coat paint scheme and the first vendor couldn't do it on the carbon.
anyways, i told tony he can take his time and when the frameset finally arrived i was more than happy with the paint job.

If you look after your components then they will last a long time.
I check to make sure the bolts are tight on everything once a month. If the crank arms are fitted correctly they can't really wear out too fast. All cranks fatigue quickly if something is loose on them.
I have never had any trouble with mine on that front.
thanks andy. i always check all the nuts and bolts on my bikes once a month as well, so i think i'll give them a go.

Best Cranks for riding Fixed Brakeless on the streets are:
***1. Dura-Ace 7700 / 7710 BB
Have got 3 sets of these and 1 set I have removed the arms for travel probably 30 - 40 times and they are still as good as the day I got them.
you've had no problem with the spline wear with these riding fixed?
i got that combo on my track bike, like it a lot and would like to get a similar one to my fixie skidder. anyways, there are rumours that the axle splines might get damaged over the time when riding brakeless..

any reference for the 4130 point?
i asked tony to weld mine with a lighter tubeset normally used for tonic's cx-bikes and the 58-ish frame weighed exactly 1,8 kg. the main tubes are certainly not 4130 chromo as i've ridden many bikes built with these tubes as well.
not to say 4130 frames are not good or anything.

hey guys,
broke the rear hub of my ellipses and my lbs can't get me a new one.
anyone got an extra rear hub, just a hub shell or a spare complete rear wheel (post 2011 all)?
i'm not in london, so posting is needed, but i'm happy to cover all the charges.
thanks,
mike
