Location
https://twitter.com/tfltrafficnews/status/621225790362025984Given that road has reopened, most likely a serious or lucky but slight outcome for the rider.

That episode of An Hour to Save Your Life is on the iPlayer. Not for the faint hearted, but Janina's family appear towards the end and utter respect for them in sharing so much so publicly. I only hope it helps focus a few minds on avoiding such tragedies.
It appears that both the lorry drivers that ran over Janina Gehlau and Victor Manuel Ben-Rodriguez at Ludgate Circus will appear in court.
RIP.

Post on twitter shows a photo from FaceBook claiming it was fatal. No confirmation but I would only expect to hear something tomorrow. I hope merely serious, social media reports are usually very unreliable.

Notable that they've taken her to St George's which is a major trauma centre. Nothing else I've heard locally, but hopefully now in the best of care.

Kensington High Street reopened after 12PM

A few tweets agree that it sounds serious. Road still closed at 11AM, apparently. Tweets I won't post here mention helmets, so suspect head injury. Really hope this isn't as bad as it could be.

Some cause for optimism, looks like road was only closed for a couple of hours going by TfL Traffic updates.
TfL confirming accident closed road.
TfL reopening road. Also without any official or journalistic sources despite all comments saying cyclist may have been a pedestrian.

That's my tweet. I'd seen this thread start up and then almost immediately got the note on Facebook. Photo on twitter here (not from my friend and I'd be unsure as to severity based on comments): https://twitter.com/notagateway/status/400782287672864768
Looks to be bike at bottom left of photo, collision may have involved taxi. Hope not as serious as it looks. I've been the rider down on here myself once, so I know not all are as bad as they first appear. Fingers crossed.

By the way, someone else had a crash in the same place today.
Blimey, hope they came off at least as well as I did, just about to crash out for the day but feeling remarkably well all considered.
I've whacked all of my tweets into a nice consolidated Storify kinda thing, have to say, seeing this forum being concerned helped a lot as I got my head back together in the hospital.
That junction needs a lot of work. Normally if I'm going that way I'm coming from King street and use the cycle facilities to get over the roundabout by Hammersmith Bridge, but I've also been round there enough times that I know how to take the lane and do it safely. I think the moped undertook be before parking on me. Not much you can do about that.

Hello, this was me. I think I've been very lucky in many ways as I am sat at home watching Le Tour live with little more than a graze around my right eye and a few other grazes.
I was riding around the gyratory just after 9AM, I'm not sure what happened exactly but I understand from the police that the moped was behind me and was being chased by a police motorbike having been stolen by two riders. The two moped riders ran away from the scene, I think whilst I was still out cold on the floor. When I came to, a minute or two later, there was a police motorbike stopped in the distance, my bike and a moped entangled completely in the road and an ambulance behind me.
I was lucky to have come off so close to the hospital and with a policeman behind me, the emergency services were really good and I don't think I left the scene until just before 10, there was no hurry to move me away. My wounds were cleaned up a bit and I got some gas in the ambulance to calm me down, I was both in shock and in tears. In the hospital they gave me four x-rays on my arm and some painkillers as I had a migraine, then tried one splint and then another which I have to wear for a week.
The police took care of my bike and I'm going to try and pick it up with my housemate this evening, as it's at the station just at the end of my road, which is handy.
On the whole, if I have to have an accident, this is about as good as I could hope, and I think I've been lucky, any faster or any shove sideways and I could have been under a lorry. Hope today's stage of Le Tour is good!
Thanks to you all for your kind concern, it's things like this that make living in London that bit more friendly.
Here's a couple of photos
Someone I follow on twitter posted this:
> There is someone lying in the road surrounded by blood next to a tipper truck at Aldgate
And another eyewitness posted this:
> Looks like a female cyclist got hit by a skip lorry. Just fucking awful. Too many cyclists dying on our streets.
No confirmation of outcome or parties involved as yet, but authorities confirm they've closed the road.
> AldgateHighSt- closed between Mansell St & Houndsditch due to traffic accident
Let's hope there's still time for trauma care to do something.
