Came across HJ years ago (must have been around 2006 if memory serves), but only now was in the market for some of their goodies. Decided against a purchase after two unanswered emails, 3 phone calls, all that I have read of bad experiences here, and a price hike of somewhere between 20-25% (whilst I've been waiting for a response, indicating to me that someone at HJ is at work, but not responding to emails). It's not been long that I've been waiting (first email sent Friday afternoon, and it is now close of business on Wednesday) but long enough, even for a 'we're super swamped at the mo, we'll get back to you' email, plus the last thing I want is stress from ordering items that are supposed to bring me joy (in the form of time on my bike - I don't mean the act of purchasing!) - if they can't reply to emails or answer the phone, why would I put an order through? Anyway, I decided to purchase elsewhere. It's a shame, as I always try and give my business to the littler folks.
Just putting this out there for anyone that cares, potential customers or owners of HJ.

frame and for arrived yesterday. have to say i'm pretty impressed. the blue is nicer than on screen (and to me it already was good looking), securely boxed (kinda expected), and free next day (this i knew i was getting, but still). however, the canti fork bosses are a bit uneven - about 2mm or so difference in height from one another on the fork legs. anyone else received their forks with uneven bosses, will it affect brake set up, any suggestions on what to do?
cheers,
k

Fantastic frame, sad to be selling, but I only have space for one full sized bike at the moment and I need something more suited to my needs.. Lugged version. Little use so in very good condition. Having said that, there are two scratches on the top of the top tube (inflicted by someone rummaging around in the shed, and not taking due care!) and a mark to the paint on the down tube where the brake caliper has made contact (see photos). Headset included. Located W12 9NG.

Hello,
About to pull the trigger on a Pompino, but unsure about the sizing. Currently working my way through these 80 odd pages to get what I can find about size and the frame in general, but want to speed the process up as the F+Fs are currently on sale.. Hoping for some suggestions from owners.
I'm 6foot, with 31 1/4 inches from trouser crotch to floor. Currently have a Brother Cycles frame in 56cm (TT 560mm). Unfortunately it doesn't get much use, and because of this I want to sell it and build a Pomp, as I recon the Pomp will be more practical and won't be sitting around gathering dust. On One's site suggest a L (closest TT size to the Brother) or XL. I'm a bit fearful that the L will be set up so as to have a massive seat post height, and half a foot of headset spacers. And on the other side, that the XL will have me resting on my nether regions when standing over the TT.. Shall be primarily riding around London on it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
K

Tried. Several times. No joy. Bought elsewhere. Will start with a call next time I'm after something from them.
