Instead of starting a new thread, i thought I'd mention here that the next Dandy Horse social ride will be Sunday 27 July from the shop. 4pm meet for 5pm start. 30 miles... (or dependent on turnout/make up of group). If there's interest in Sunday evening rides, may as well combine forces. More the merrier.

Way back in the day, early in the century, in fact. I had a 24seven barstem combo on my downhill bike. It was simple, solid and mildly aesthetically pleasing. 24seven's site doesn't seem to work, and I can't find them in the shops, or even ebay it seems.
Perhaps for sentimental reasons more than performance ones, I'd really like to source myself another set. If anyone could help me out, I'd 'preciate it a lot.
Thanks
Jack

I'm in a similar situation - though my bike hasn't been stolen, i just want some insurance for it. I bought a frame from an LBS, and then proceeded to merrily beg, borrow and buy the parts from all over the show (ebay, mates, strangers and anyone who had such shiny things for sale) so other than the receipt for the frame i've no evidence that i bought it.
"the original purchase receipt, showing the date, price paid, details of the Bicycle and Approved Lock, name and address of seller, or other evidence which clearly demonstrates ownership." is one example of whats asked for. and putting it on my home insurance isnt an option as i'm a student and cant have home insurance in the usual sense (and endsleigh point blank refused to insure my "custom bike"

I leave my bike lying around without a lock all the time and nobody steals it. It is a Langster though. Get one of those instead of a lock. Foolproof.
