So it's official, Jaap wil never come out of the shed again to actually ride bikes.

#crossiscoming so I need to transfer my gravel bike's parts to a cross frame. One issue: I'm having a hard time finding a good frame.

So here's what I'm looking for:

• Aluminium or carbon frame with a carbon fork
  
• Cyclocross geometry (otherwise I could just use my gravel bike)
  
• Stack > 590mm (preferably more than 600)
  
• Reach < 395mm (preferably less than 390)
  
• Preferably flat mount
  
• Internal cables if possible
  
• Costing up to € 400,- for a frame or a € 600,- for a full bike
  
• In the case of the full bike I don't care too much about the parts as I will probably sell those anyways.

Don't really understand how that would work.
Less fork offset should make for sharper steering right?
Or am I missing something?

Just haven't been posting anything for a while.
I was considering doing a cp thread all the way through the project, but the actual work was more fun that making a thread about it, so I ended up just doing more work.
I did take pictures of pretty much every step, so when I'm bored some day I might make a thread.

These are 700c's with 45mm tyres and still plenty of room left.

My Arkose getting ready to bring me from Fez to Marrakech in May

Does anyone have any experience with changing the forks in an Arkose from 50mm offset to 45mm?

I'm going there the coming may (13-24th). Will be flying from the Netherlands to Fez and then ride to Marrakesh through the middle and high Atlas. (i'll post a link to the route a little later).
We're planning on wild camping with the 4 of us.
I still have some stuff to figure out, like which stove to bring and where it's ok to camp and where not. So if anyone has any advice that would be great.

Just ordered my arkose frameset which I will build up asap and probable post some pics here.

So I found a Centaur groupset that is going to be placeholder on this bike, and will be moved to my steel Gazelle after I get a Rival or Force 1x group.
Was quite ok in terms of price, however, the seller didn't say it was a veloce crankset and he did remove a lot of stuff (no ergopower rubbers, no brakepads).
Did get a Ksyrium wheelset as well though.
Sent him a message to try to sort this out, but anyways, here it is:

Small update:
Finally sanded all of the paint off and going for a finer grain to 'polish' the frame now.
Also got some Avid Shorty 6's for speed control.

I'm going for canti's.
Gonna drill the fork next week, already got a fork mounted cable hanger that will work.

Lovely setups, might give it a try if I manage to find a cheap 11sp campag group.

I found out I could get a SRAM Rival 1 group for a pretty good price at my work, so I'm probably going for that in the end.

Colleague of mine that is a pretty serieus cross rider told me to not even consider v-brakes. Guess I'll just drill the fork.

Guess those are my best option actually.

Impossible, those only come in 1 1/8 and I'm in the 1 inch game here.

No mount on the fork, that's why I'm considering this.
Maybe drill the fork then?

Next step: sanding off the last paint, sanding the larger parts of the frame with fine grain paper.
