If you mean using fork blades for the seat'n'chain stays. Then it sounds like overkill to me. But ask BJ.

No, I mean the fork would be 853 instead of 631, but the crown would probably be the same, so just 853 blades

Just giving my opinion based on what I've seen. Older ones seem to be well finished, the new one I saw was not, and for that reason (plus their current customer service rep) I'd be reluctant to give them any money.

But I guess £413 total for an 853 f&f sounds like good value.

As for tubing choice, if you're going for a quill stem set up I would t worry too much about it.

no £413 for 631 tubing. Its 413+180+60 for 853 f+f, so thats 653 pounds.

so its £605+ vat for 631 super vigorelli vs. £653 for 853 bj.

I know cxp33 arent shallow but I already have one of those! I think I might prefer open pro's though, not too sure yet...Its just if I am using low flange hubs I thought the cxp would be better to increase stiffness...

The Mercian is 605 +vat for 631, the bob jackson is 413 in total. I dont think that the bob jackson is expensive when you look at the cinelli gazzetta or something like it.

As for aesthetics, I was thinking panaracer paselas and all to go with the quill stem, low flange hubs, shallow rims, brooks...

Definately for the road. The only track here is an outdoor one thats not too steep. It could work on both if I had any intentions oftaking it to the track in the future.

Yeah, I dont think there is 853 rear triangle tubing, just main frame.

I assumed the geometry on the Vigorelli was quite good, a mix between track and road, with more emphasis on track geometry but I could be wrong. That would be ideal.

So what about 725 rear stays vs. 853 fork blades?

I was completely set on getting a 1" threaded setup. It looks so much cooler in my opinion. Once you know what bars and stem length you want I dont see a difference. Having tried pretty much every type of handlebar I'm set on drops, probably something similar to B123s. There are loads of cheap quill stems for sale second hand and I would get them to put on the headset at BJ.

Also for the wheels, black CXP33 or silver Open Pro?

I am 175cm and about 63kg or so. Thats 5'9 and nearly 10 stone. I would be getting a 21" frame I think so it would be standard tubing as opposed to oversize.

I was thinking about purchasing a vigorelli frame but I have a few questions regarding how I should get it. I was wondering if anyone here got an upgraded tubeset for any part of their bike?

I was thinking either an 853 fork or else 725 rear stays. Which would people suggest?

I could also get both of these or else a full 725 frame for the same price.

I am unsure which part would make the greatest difference to the ride/handling/stiffness of the bike.

I would also be interested in a flat crown fork, maybe I could get this with the 853 fork for no extra cost, I don't know...

I am thinking of either the Champagne metallic or the ice blue metallic colours, don't know which one yet.

Alright Colm you should probably get CRC to pricematch from somewhere cheaper like Total Cycling, or else buy directly from them. There are up North aswell

These hubs look deadly in my opinion. Does the hollow axle mean you can use the pitlock skewers with them? I am also really thinking of getting a rear one. Do you know how much a rear one weighs?

EDIT: It says 240 for a rear without lockring which seems pretty light in comparison to a Phil Wood high flange, even compared to a fixed/fixed slr which is around 400g

Another option for me would be to remove the black paint. There were no silver cxp33 with 28h that I could find so how hard would it be to remove the black? Is the paint on the mavic similar to velocity deep v paint because there are threads about that that I have seen...

The machined sidewalls are painted with enamel black paint. He is using a break though at the front. Would the enamel hold up if the brakes were being used?

Would it be a simple enough job, or has anyone already done it? I know people ask about painting the sidewalls of deep v's all the time but I am curious about this enamel paint vs a permanent marker...

I have bought a Shimano Dura Ace lockring/ chain whip tool. Will this work with a Miche lockring if I decide to buy a Miche hub? Is there any other lockring I could use on a Miche hub that would be the correct threading but would also be the right width for the shimano tool if not?

Nope not this either. It could have been complete bike either but I think there was a frameset option. It was not as nice as these frames and I suspect a good bit cheaper. Thanks for trying though

Where did I see a track bike of triple triangle construction like that of a GT but made of steel by a European company? I came across the website a few weeks ago but I have forgotten how I got there and what its called. Does anyone have any ideas on what website this may have been?

for some strange reason I actually like that bike, maybe straighten the stem and get a new seatpost... I dont usually like aero wheels, especially not two of them

I read a review of the women's version that said the cutout was in the wrong place and it was not long enough, she said that the men's version was designed better...

I got this one and couldn't be happier. The saddle that came with my bike was not for me whatsoever. It put a lot of pressure on the wrong parts, you know what I mean (the gooch). Wow, well sometimes my stupidity amazes even myself. The noise was coming from the washer on the valve of the front wheel. I just tightened it so its lightly touching the rim...problem solved. Maybe (but doubtfully) this might help someone some day.
