Afraid not, the ends hold the spokes that hold the leather discs together, see http://www.brooksengland.com/catalogue-and-shop/bags/other+brooks+products/Plump+Leather+Grips/
Dibs the grips if you can remove the ends to fit reverse levers?

Claud Butler World's Championship Sprint Reynolds 531 track frame from 1954 with stunning lugwork and very fine tubing. 58cm ctt seat tube, 58cm ctc top tube.
£150£140£130£125posted in the UK, paypal gift please. Dibs then pm me for payment details please. SOLDFrame number 1555 542, which dates it as a Feb 1954 build. Using the excellent Claud Butler resource and particularly the CB 1954 catalogue (see http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/CBcats/Cat_54/CB1954_Cat.htm) I've identified it as a World's Championship Sprint - the top of the range frame - due to:
- Seat stays chamfered and wrapped over at seat cluster
- 1" top tube
- Round to oval to round pencil chainstays
- Reinforced end plates to curved seat stay bridge
- Matching fancy lugs on page 3 fig 8.
I am not a CB expert though so if anyone else know different please say. This would make it a close clearance frame for 27" wheels without guards, so will fit 700c nicely (8mm smaller bead diameter). Here's the catalogue entry from 54:
The bad points:
- a crappy rattle can paint job that is chipped and rusty in various places and particularly on the tob tube, though only surface rust, this frame needs refinishing.
- no original forks (though I'm throwing in the modern Alu fork currently fitted with the frame).
- rear brake bridge has been drilled.
Someone must have loved it fairly recently as it is a Campag Chorus BB (some surface rust on the tapers but it turns easy enough and appears serviceable), a Campag Chorus headset (suspect it is the wrong size though as the cups can be turned by hand) and a Campag seatpin, all of which come with it.
Photos:
Any more photos required can be supplied, just ask. Cheers.

How about a rough Claud Butler track/path frame with a crappy modern fork?
The best info I can find to date it (from the excellent http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/ClaudButler.htm) is that it is a 1954 Claud Butler World Championship Sprint. It has the wrapover seat stays, round to oval to round pencil chainstays, the CB World Championship sprint lugs, reinforced end plates to the seat stay bridge, (all shown in the 54 catalogue http://homepage.ntlworld.com/nkilgariff/CBcats/Cat_54/CB1954_Cat.htm), appears to be 531 (27.2 seat tube and is light). Unfortunately also needs a strip and paint due to various bit of surface rust, and has been fitted with a crappy alu fork. Someone must have loved it in fairly recent times and it has a Campag chorus BB & Headset and Campag seatpin.
I'm no Claud Butler expert though so if anyone knows better?

'If you have an item for sale anywhere other than here, like ebay, bikeradar, ctc, retrobike, etc. then you cannot post it here'
kind of clear no?
You cannot post it here - is it the item for sale, or the other listing, that cannot be posted here? I interpreted it as the other listing. Seeing as 2 far more experienced members have called me out for this, I have removed the other listings, so these are now exclusively for sale on lfgss.
I've been asked for a close up photo of the wood, here it is, and one of them mounted. They really are very lovely things.

I mounted these then removed them, as new (but note the rear has been drilled for a Pompino - you may have to plug the hole if you need to redrill for your bike, I'll include an extra stainless dome bolt you can use with a leather washer that will plug it and look great).
