Hi all, hoping somebody can help...
Every year I go out to see a couple of stages of the Tour de France and as much fun as it is, every year I find myself asking the locals how far out they are and wondering what's going on... I'm hoping to invest in a little DTV personal tv thing... so I have two questions...
1) Do UK DVT players (something like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B001LE2O6W) work in France? Obviously I know they won't pick up UK tv, but will they pick up local French stuff? and are they any good?
2) Do the French broadcast the tour somewhere on free tv that I'd pickup with it?
Ultimately, I'll have no Internet and I can't take a big rig out with me, it needs to be portable and fit in my bag/on the bike. The other option would be some kind of radio player that's in English? Any ideas?

I'm fairly sure this is a pointless post; mainly because you posted this in July and haven't logged in since, but just incase you are still out there and hunting for that womens dutch singlespeed, I've got one.
It's blue and white, recently repainted by MVaz and needs a new home. Brooks saddle, campag cranks, will suit 5'3'' upwards. Cost me over £250 and many loving hours to piece together and it's yours for £140.

No, 74 is not year of manufacture. I'd guess it was a Brooks B74. They still produce B72 and B73, which are similar to yours.
Hmmm, I can't find any pics or info about a 'B74'.
The closest thing I can find is this:
http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=vintage+brooks+saddle&um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1440&bih=748&tbm=isch&tbnid=aByptSpfU9O5JM:&imgrefurl=http://www.flickr.com/photos/westchestercycles/4282764307/&docid=4soxce0nD2Aw_M&w=500&h=374&ei=328yTpKdJsGv8gP02pWhDg&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=187&page=1&tbnh=138&tbnw=186&start=0&ndsp=24&ved=1t:429,r:7,s:0&tx=90&ty=69But I don't even know what that is. That's similar though.
