i would say it's overpriced as there are some bad details on it. the paint looks nice but it's not original now so has lost its charm. it's also a bit of a mash of parts for me.
put the whole thing on ebay. it's a really nice frame classic mid seventies and would look great all decked out with mafac center pull brakes and simplex gears.
i'm amazed no one has gone for it but i do think the market is limited on here for certain things.
i did find a cinelli sc frame in red with chrome lugs in great condition. 20€
it was too small for me so i sold it for 400€. i also found an early 80s bianchi all chrome super leggera frame and forks at the same time for 50€ which was my size so i kept that one.
i'm only now starting to be able to say it out load. it's a french builder with maybe polish roots if it's a polish name that is. maybe not if it means that.
what are your best bike bargins that you have managed?
i got a nice late 80s hand built edmond pochlopek yesterday. all campagnolo in great nick and for 70euros.
what a thrill to find such a stunning bike so cheap.
i wouldn't say £50 was a bargin myself. i have never paid anything like that for campag cranks. in fact i have never even paid £30.
anyway someones dibed them now.
just wandering if anyone here owns a earlly 70s rene herse racing bike?
i'm just wanting to do a bit of research on them, maybe see a couple of photos of little bits of the bike and also ask a couple of questions.
thanks
