A cyclist on a bright green bike has collided with a lorry which was either turning into, or reversing out of, Bell Wharf Lane.
Watching this from my office at the moment. Happened approx 1:40pm. Southwark Bridge is closed to all traffic, as the Virgin Rescue helicopter has landed on it. Three paramedics got out of the helicopter, into a taxi, and got dropped off at the scene.
Lots of police and ambulance staff at the scene.
Fingers crossed for the rider.

i had a play with a galaxy sII yesterday as i was photographing one.
no matter how good the phone performs it's construction is below par. cheap plasticy build and it feels like it would break into pieces if you dropped it.
it's quite light but would rather it was made of something sturdier, the back flexes when you squeeze it, screen is a bit 'grainy' too.
glad i didn't splurge on one now, the HTC's look a lot better made.you'd be surprised, check this video

I've recently purchased the Denon RCD-N7 CEOL. Pretty cool unit, drives 65Wx2 RMS, supports Ethernet/Wi-Fi as well as having an iPod dock etc. Supports AirPlay, so iTunes can send directly to it, or send any audio (eg Spotify) directly to it using AirFoil. It also supports internet Radio which is actually quite nicely implemented.
There was the odd bit of skipping earlier, but that was due to my old wireless router only supporting 802.11g. I've got given one supporting 802.11n and the problem has gone away.
Speakers are Dali Lektor 2s, considering adding a BK Gemini sub into the setup in the next few months.

I’m not understanding the arguments against using water cannons. One interviewee on the BBC referred to it as an obvious upping of the ante on the part of the authorities. Well they’re behind the game as the rioters have upped the stakes already. Get used to the fact that we might have to use some fucking high-powered jets of water.
I haven't seen anything actually factual or solid (or real), apart from Theresa May's pathetic ideological "The way we police in Britain is not through use of water cannon. The way we police in Britain is through consent of communities."
Time and a place bitch, it's going to happen eventually, it's been happening for years in Northern Ireland, why not now for London?

These rioters seem to have it in for historic buildings.
First that one in Tottenham, then the one in Croydon, and now Arding & Hobbs in Battersea...http://www.priestrestoration.co.uk/Projects/ArdingHobbs.htm

I live in my purple Rapha+Paul Smith City Rain Jacket. Well, while I'm cycling anyway.
