Hi all,
I'm keen to get this to a good home and out of my living room, so final price drop to £225.
Same collection/delivery conditions as above, if no takers I'll happily move the ad onto gumtree but I thought I'd give some cycling enthusiasts a chance first, it's been great coming back to LFGSS classifieds and all of the steel pr0n :)

Price drop: £250
Still happy to deliver by car anywhere within a 20 mile radius of Reading (apart from London) for an extra tenner. I will consider couriering the bike or meet up in London, if I'm struggling to find a buyer, but I'll hold out for collection or local delivery if possible.
Thanks,
Phil

Hi all,
With regret I'm putting my Peugeot Competition 510 up for sale. I bought the bike about 6 months ago to start up cycling again after relocating to Reading, looking for something well spec'd at a good price but unfortunately due to moving in with the mrs with no place to store this, it's got to go. I managed to stumble across this beauty, which appears not to have been ridden much since new - likely built in 1997. After picking up the bike I decided to get a full service from my LBS, as I didn't have time to re-index the brakes and true the wheels etc (plus they through in some new bar tape to cover Rule #8). The bike is functionally great particularly since the service (you can't beat the Campagnolo free wheel click!) with some minor cosmetic scratches. The seat post is the major cosmetic flaw, as it was fairly seized when I bought it. With a lot of effort and GT85, I got it free, but you can see the cosmetic remnants of the seized area in the pictures, now partially covered in copper grease. Otherwise, I think this a great bike and hopefully good for the price with Columbus tubing, a Campagnolo groupset and an awesome colour. The bullets below roughly cover the spec, if you want any more information, please ask away:
- Frame size: Seat tube 57 ctc/ Top tube 58 ctc;
- Frame tubing: Columbus Thron, fillet brazed;
- Colour: Metallic purple (hopefully the pictures indicate this, it's similar to the Mercian colour 'flamboyant purple' as I had a Pista in this colour);
- Groupset: Campagnolo Avanti throughout, with a Mirage chainset which was the previous equivalent in the Campagnolo range (I've neglected to count the teeth on the cassette or chainrings, but it's fairly compact);
- Wheels: Mavic (UB Control) rims laced to Campagnolo quick release hubs;
- Tyres: Halfords specials, 25 x 700c (plenty of tread but I'd planned to replace);
- Bars: 42 cm Atax italia;
- Stem: 100 mm (unknown on brand without removing again);
- Seatpost: Aero layback post (unknown diameter or brand without removing, I'd guess 26.8 -27.2 mm);
- Seat: Sella Italia Century Saddle (much like a Flite in profile and feel, if not more comfy and rarer);
- Pedals: Generic Campagnolo flat pedals;
- Accessories: Cheap bottle cage (note the bike will not come with the lights, unless it's a deal breaker...);
- I'll chuck in a spare tyre it came with as well.
Based on the spec and recent full service, I'd like to ask for £275 cash on collection anywhere in Reading.
I'm also happy to deliver by car anywhere within a 20 mile radius of Reading (apart from London) for an extra tenner. I will consider couriering the bike, if I'm struggling to find a buyer, but I'll hold out for collection or local delivery if possible.
Please see the pictures below and any questions, just ask.

Hi all,
Unfortunately due to lack of funds, I'm having to sell my beloved Mercian Super Vigorelli. It's a beautiful frame, finished in 'flamboyant purple' with white lug detailing which I acquired off the bay last year, which I then used to cycle from London to Paris. It appears to be a 2005 model as it's stamped '2005' on the underneath of the BB shell and it has the serial number '3 147'. Unfortunately since then it has sat unused as I couldn't bare to put any more scratches into it, considering I had another fixed option. It's a very comfortable ride, sporting mudguard eyelets and a fair bit of tyre clearance. Despite being a 'track' frame, it comes with forks drilled for a front brake, but not drilled for a rear brake. Due to it's use, it does have quite a few scratches (shown in the pictures) but I think it is far from needing a respray and I have factored this into the price. It will also come with a few bits and pieces, as listed below, to sweeten the deal a bit. A £10 donation to the forum will be made post sale.
Mercian Super Vigorelli
Reynolds 631 tubing
Seat tube 59cm c-t (quoted as 60cm on the bay, but I make it 59cm)
Top tube 57cm c-c
Campagnolo dropouts
Front dropout spacing 100mm
Rear dropout spacing 120mm
Bits included:
27.2mm kalloy seat post (pictured)
Square taper bottom bracket (unknown, likely Shimano variant, pictured)
Woodman headset (pictured)
Seat post bolt (unknown 'Cr-Mo', pictured)
Lifeline bottle cage (pictured)
KMC chain (pictured)
Cinelli Giro d'Italia handlebars, Cinelli clamp size, 42cm wide (pictured below)http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5538/9239232761_4d78a1497f_c.jpg

For anyone concerned with bike fit, here was my setup (I'm 6ft with longish legs)

Considering a Super Vigorelli frameset new from Mercian made from 631 tubing is £720 + VAT & waiting time, I think £360 for the lot (including courier service to your door) is a fair price.
Dibs followed by PM please.
Cheers,

Evening everyone,
For sale is the pictured Stronglight Track crankset 170mm (in my opinion the nicer looking ones before the uglier newer ones with a black chainring). They're quite nice quality, CNC'd from 7075 ally and rode nicely en route to Paris last summer. They have the usual heal rub and slight scratching associated with a ridden crankset but are generally in great condition. All threads are perfect and the teeth on the chainring have very little wear. Just to confirm for sale is: Stronglight Track crankset including, crank arms, track 1/8 width 44t chainring, chainring bolts and Stronglight extractor crank bolts (which made them very easy to take off..)
I'm looking for £50 for the lot posted
Now £40Usual dibs followed by PM please.
Kind regards,
Phil -

I've had one of these a while, that he made as a prototype. The material is strong and it's wearing nicely over time. I'm using mine to put my phone in, in the back of my jersey, to protect from general moisture (sweat) and rain (if i've gambled without a rain cape). Also fits nicely in my jeans, so sometimes gets used on my commute to campus when it's raining. Just thought i'd stick on my reccomendation!

Famous last words above. Final, final price drop: £200 with a £5 forum donation.
