LFGSS and Microcosm shutting down 16th March 2025 (the day before the Online Safety Act is enforced)
Just been catching up on the other thread where you've touched on this stuff a little.
Would going dark on the backend and using proxies be a better option than setting up the server above ground in Germany? Would it future proof the site? What if Germany implements similar regs, what then? Move again?
Is it more expensive to go dark? Technically more difficult?

That's ideal then, no?
I haven't read the legislation, tl;dr, apologies in advance for the basic bitch questions. Would a server somewhere UK legislation can't touch still be liable for content that someone/anyone deemed illegal/offensive/whatever? How could anyone police that? Same goes for a Darknet forum, if it's out of their jurisdiction how can they touch it?
Just spitballing.

Question for the technerds. Would it be possible to hide a forum on the darkweb via Tor? Is there such a thing as a virtual server? Could you steal/borrow storage and hide a web presence like an internet forum? Is that possible or did I just see that in a bad spy movie? Not directly related to lufuguss, just a general query.

Is there a way to hide us away on the darkweb somewhere? Access through Tor, is that even still a thing? I'm out of touch. Or does that defeat the purpose?
Thanks for everything, @Velocio, I'm far, far away now so my activity here isn't anywhere near what it used to be, life gets in the way, thank fuck. ๐ I can only echo what people have already said, amazing community, what a bunch of cunts, etc. I hope there's a way through that keeps everyone safe and can keep us all talking about minced pies, disk brakes and shit neighbours, y'know, the important stuff. ๐งก

Get a Vox, go on. A hand wired AC15, completely impractical but who cares? ๐
So that amp is a VASE Bassman 100, two channel 100 watt head made in Brisbane in '66, only cost me $200, doesn't work. Yet. It's the actual amp in this blog post, same nicks and wear. I'm hoping my mate Nick can get it working. I don't need another amp but there you are. ๐คทโโ๏ธ
EDIT: Turns out I know the guy who sold that amp to the guy I bought it off. He makes very nice pedals as Balmoral Electric, I sent him a message and he says it turns on and all voltages are correct so maybe it only needs tubes. KT88s tho'! ๐ธ
Anyone know if Chinese KT88s are any good? Or if they're even legit? Any recommendations?

Finally got to see C.O.F.F.I.N. last night, they did not disappoint, I was exhausted by the end of the night but a great way to end a busy week at work.
Support band Dad Fight were also fucking amazing, absolutely off the chain mental. The crowd reaction may have been more insane for them than the headliners, deffo going back for more. Weird mix of social commentary/comedy/punk rock hijinx. Go see them if they visit your town!
The most Australian night of music I've experienced in a while, socially responsible yob rock lives.

I put second bottle of injector cleaner in the Subaru and petrol consumption has improved significantly, looking at ~500kms per tank as opposed to ~400-450kms. Sounds bloody lovely too. I have been getting the occasional thunk under the go pedal under acceleration, the internet tells me this is probably a worn bushing or mount which checks out. A few did look to be near the end of their life when the car was originally checked out.
Anyway, it hasn't blown up yet. ๐

I haven't used Tor/Onion in forever, I'm sure it's all changed now. But it was very straightforward, I logged in and that was that.
