Just to say, have a set of Varno wheels on my conversion, pics in the Peugeot thread in Mechanics and Fixin' - anyway they've gone down a treat, really liking the all black look, radial lacing etc. Performing well on the Glasgow potholed streets so far.
Just had alook, looks niceee. take it there dp18's?
Can anyone recommend what size tire 23,25 or 28 fits best on the 40mm rims.. taking into consideration person weight and frame space..

Hi,
Looking for a rear 120mm fixed/Fixed or flip flop, high flange hub, built onto any good condition rim. either 32 or 36 hole, preferably silver/polished hub and rim. 19 tooth 1\18 cog with lockring included would be nice. Looking to spend around £50-£70 can pay straight away.
PM me or chuck some photos on here
Thanks

Right, i have a new project, i found a Peugeot carbolite frame in my size!
straight away i replaced the spindle(i think its called that?) in the bottom bracket so it don't have to ride it with cotterd cranks which is very handy, then luckaly found a seat post in the draw that fits! bingo wings!(its that anoying little french seat post) along with the stem to, none fit from the draw apart from one, that has a awkward size to!
eventually found bars that fit in the stem which is a relief, decent ones to, still in the process of choosing wheels
now its starting to turn it into a road bike, will need to buy everything else new to finish it
i'm building it all classy, i guess a semi restore? cant wait, think its going to look pretty snazzy when its done
Niceeee. Out of interest whats the geometry??

Chris, have you checked your stem size? Mine (same model) started out as a 21.15mm (BMX) diameter, meaning road stems wouldn't fit the steerer. Reaming it out to fit 22.2 stems has made me wary about putting the brakes on...
Haven't checked 700 wheels in the frame, but if you are planning a brake or two there will be some fun to be had.
Do you have any pictures of the bike?? Ill check soon but I'm pretty sure that its the correct steerer size. Wasn't planning to have brakes either.
Check out the Fixed /Track Deep Section Wheels by V on the for sale.
