hi, they were from a custom novatec track hub that is no longer sold by the company. I have a few sets available for front and rear, silver or black dust covers with matching dome spacers

On One track nuts are the standard size. you have to swap out the axles if you want to use allen nuts, I have a new set of front and rear allen key axles if your interested. they are 100% compatible with On One. they have nice bearing dust covers too

Id pick Suntour Superbe Pro over anything else but Dura Ace,Pro Max njs, Record are all just as good, it all comes down to what looks the nicest to you/what matches everything else on the bike
Ive not had the loose ball suzue pro max(Im nearly certain the cartridge version has the exact same shell,but it uses 9.5mm 26tpi axles) but the superbe is machined to very fine tolerances, the forging is excellent.
7710 low flange is the best you can buy thats in production, the inner races last forever and get smoother over time. Its a pity they never used the 7710 locknuts for the large flange 7600 hubs, the 7710 locknuts are the same as suntour superbe, thicker than everything else traditional(zipp and white industries have similar size) with more surface grip, great for sprinters

theres no marketing trick, it probably uses an newer carbon fibre layup. steel was still being 'upgraded' in the 80's and 90's

the pista wheels are probably 1990s Zonda anodized black
people seem not too mind paying for a very heavy set of old design track wheels! I hate the stickers, they look cheap
that would be like Mavic using CXP 14 rims for their Ellipse track wheels but they use current model Cosmic Elite road rim

i'm currently reading base building for cyclists by thomas chapple. it has good ideas on using the winter as a reboot time.. the strength section focuses a lot on not pushing your muscles to fatigue, ( which it says increases size ) but focusing on a range of leg exercises to increase strength. Also he suggests doing leg presses over squats as there is less chance that you will injure yourself through bad form..
that all sounds mostly wrong
the key is to not use bad form, and to not pig out for days after your heavy sessions(like me), limit the calories to prevent mass gain
if youre not fatigued you might as well be doing a weekly sowing class, at least with that you'll learn good technique for repair tubs

what are the hire bikes at the London velodrome? anyone done the accreditation sessions yet or is that only starting next year? do they have to be done in a short space of time? Id like to fly over some weekend but not sure I can do it all in the 1 trip

I wish they kept the C Record dust cap for the pista hub. the current front pista hub is actually C Record Chorus with a solid axle.
use a round diamond needle file on the insides of Nuovo record crank spiders to remove potential stress risers.

only tacx do them as far as I know and they are £18 most places I think. if youve a planet x/novatec hub just cut the axle down and use a quick release skewer. thats what I did with my turbo wheel

forza is probably just as ideal for sprinting as the DF3, Id get one if they had my size on sale, and if I had the actual money to pay for it

Edit - probably because it's 24 spoke?
they had 32h and 24h, 3-4 in total. 32h sold out last week, was hoping it would stay unnoticed for a while longer!
24h with dt swiss alpine II might have worked!
