So I posted aggggesss :/ ago about working on my single speed bike (built up from parts) and I finally got it all put together a month ago and forgot to post a photo. Obviously it's nothing special, but I like it. It's fun and fast. ;) I got a different saddle for it, but haven't taken an updated photo. I eventually want to upgrade bits and pieces as I go along, but for now it does its job.

Had my Dawes Fireball resprayed and started putting it back together this evening, got scared getting the headset back on so off to LBS tomorrow, nothing new per sé other than colour and I got a custom headbadge. Because I was that way inclined...
Bubblesworth is what I shall affectionately refer to it as.
this is AMAZING! where did you get it? :)

Prendas tools and a bike stand. I'm a bit jealous.
I think lots of people here had a Pug as a 1st singlespeed. Mine is still going strong (with a different owner). There are a few threads like this one about the particulars of old Peugeots. Although It looks like your doing alright with it so far.
I must admit, it's great to be able to work on it so easily, with everything I need right there.
I got this frame from someone off the forum. Hopefully it serves me well! Though I'm pretty sure once the bits start to wear.. i'll start something new. :)

Hiiii I'm Lexi. Here's my first 'project'.. i'm servicing the headset in the photo.. it's going to be my first single speed. Had done the bottom bracket, kind of, before this.. one side the threads had been stripped though (which I didn't know) so it was a bit of a fail. But I'm pretty stoked to be doing everything myself, so even if it's not high end bits i'm at least proud of that haha. Can't wait to get it all put together and ride it though! :)

Looking to build my first single speed/fixed and I'm in search of a frame! I'm looking for a small size (no bigger than 52cm but preferably smaller, around 50 or 49.. I have very short legs!) frame, preferably in white. I'm looking for something cheap, just to get me started, like an old raleigh or peugeot.
I'm in Edinburgh but if you can pop it in a box, I can arrange a Fed-Ex collection on any day which is convenient for you.

http://www.lfgss.com/thread57892.html#post1893579cheers, just a bit out of my price range I think. I'm really just looking for a frame or a beat up old raleigh or something haha because I want to build it myself for the learning experience. :)

Considering I can't reach the pedals properly without having my seat low I'd say it's right where it needs to be. :/ if it's comfortable for me what difference does it make how low my saddle is?
