Couldn't find cheaper when I was looking (I got the Finish Line stuff) - to be fair, 100ml should last an awful long time.

Was also at the etape. Have never been as cold as when descending the Tourmalet. Oh, until the descent of the Hautacam. When I get round to looking at my bike again suspect that it will need new brake blocks. One of the guys I traveled with got bundled into an ambulance with hypothermia. Brutal conditions.

My Phil Woods rear wheel is slipping ever so slightly in the drop-outs; secured with Allen key bolts. Scared of over-tightening the bolts. Any recommendations for a suitable chain tensioner?

Received an enthusiastic DASing from someone earlier on the Embankment. Couldn't oblige on account of wanting to live. Sorry.

Finally....spotted 3 ladies covered up by police jackets, while being sat on by officers, following a naked protest. One of the ladies looked like she had been hurt. Not sure what the protest was about.

I'm 6'3" and ride an XL with 110mm stem and inline seatpost. Its a pretty good fit.

Young chap "freewheeling" his fixeh down Sawyers Hill in Richmond Park this morning, both feet on the top tube and looking happy with life. Took my mind of having to slog uphill in the other direction for a short space of time.

Ed - that is a fantastic ride and a great write up. The wild boar face thing will get passed on to my kids!
