Andy: David Millar believes that Contador won the Giro clean this year. Now we could spend all day discussing Millar and, if we had time, his sister but let me just say this. Look at his hair: it is dark, it is thick, it has lustre.
Of course it wasn't when he was doping, he bleached, it as was common practise back then because bleached hair can't be used for testing hair for doping, see also Richard Virenque and Davide Rebellin sporting the same back then.....both also found to be dopers.
Which rider in this year's tour has recenly gone bottle blonde?

good luck with the weather...have a great day....
I think HH is big and wide enough to do an 8 station pursuit if you have enough volunteers and stopwatches, 9 laps is 4050m, so close enough, or do 8 laps.......no need to knock people out when caught is there? surely everyone doing it will want to know their time?....I guess you'd probably have less than 8 people wanting to try and even two heats is only going to take 10-12 mins running time.

Did you say that this photo was previously uploaded to facebook, there are loads of scare stories about them now selling images to advertisers and that it's in their T&Cs....I know no more than that though I'm afraid, I'd presumed it meant advertising within the FB site......
Possibly the best way to post pics or vids to facebook is to host on flickr and youtube/vimeo thenlink to them in FB....

apologism and support of the angels on this thread is hilarious...
they are hardly victims, they choose to pepetrate their image and happily wallow in their notoriety, they proudly call themselves "Hells Angels", they didn't name themselves Heavens Angels, now did they?
They are just idiots with identity issues that most people grow out of by age 14, much like football hooligans they psychologically haven't taken that final step out of the school playground, they probably believe that the population at large hold some sort of reverence for them (some here obviously do) and don't realise that in reality most view them as losers and insignificant wankers with a childish name for their overgrown kiddies gang.

Hear hear! I've been mildly surprised by some forum responses to my original post from the doubting thomases to the conspiracy cranks --
I just wonder what people would have said if the post began "my neighbour was knocked off his bike by a van when he complained it had rlj"?
I'm just sayin...
van drivers don't pick fights with irrelevant and annoying flies. Your mate must have done something that caused offence.
The vast majority of Van drivers are mild mannered and middle-aged, only the younger lot are likely to engage in a fight, and even then they know there's a risk to it so will only do so if triggered by someone being particularly confrontational and abusive.
Disclaimer: My father is a van driver and has been for 40 years. I've been to rallies when much younger, and I never saw any of them needlessly get violent. They're a perfectly reasonable lot and don't differ greatly to the culture of this here cycling community.

DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users. For example
- approaching or at a road junction on either side of the road

- approaching or at a road junction on either side of the road

Leaving aside the legalities the thing is you should always make sure you have enough time to stop; so slow down, anticipate potential hazards. You live and learn.
Does this apply to motorists too and if so what do you think is a safe speed?
As for the legalities, I would guess the liability is onthe road user leaving the side road to make sure that it is safe to enter the main road and that cars on the main road should not signal to motorists entering from the side road....
Did you check to see what the online Highway code says about this? ....

Was this the case back then?
From the comic 2009:
"Therefore hair can be used to test for longer-term use of banned substances. However, it's not a completely fool-proof method as bleaching hair can destroy the markers left in it by certain substances"
Although, of course, cycling wekly are not medical experts.
