I went along. It was pretty dire to be honest. Too many awful cyclists, and slow fat men in lycra thinking they're lance armstrong. It is safer on normal roads!! Worth it to see Victoria though! Hehe

Followed someone from broad street to harborne tonight on a white frame bike with a a front disk brake and a left side only fork. Never seen anything like it. Also looked like it had a sturmy archer hub and 650c wheels. Nice piece of kit anyway.

I went last year and there were a lot of families, but it was still quite a good event.
It'll hopefully just be a less traumatic way of getting the weekend mileage in without battling traffic.

Saturday or Sunday mornings are best for me, anyone fancy putting together a nice 15 mile route?
I find going up to selly oak and then bournville is quite an OK ride, apart from near sainsburys where the road is shot, and then loop back up to the Kings head in bearwood.

Hi guys, Neal here.
Brum resident but working in Manchester at the minute and unfortunately riding a god-awful cheap and heavy folding bike as I need to get the train fairly regularly!
Below is my main ride though, a 1979 Kalkhoff coupe du monde. It's got a different chainset and pedals on it now, so I'll update the picture soon.
Moving up here full time in July so looking forward to some summer riding on her!

Well I left it outside a couple of hours to let the fumes go away. Doesn't smell at all now.

Here's my freshly rattlecanned 1979 kalkhoff coupe du monde.
Want to get a proper single speed chainset at some point but funds are a little tight.
Often ride around harborne and bournville on a Saturday or the occasional commute into the city centre on it.
