Back in London, but still on a high from such a fantastic weekend. The 55 mile ride was lovely, and definitely felt as epic in both scenery and hills as the Tuscan version. The food stops were amazing - beer, sausages, cakes, ice cream, not to mention the Pimms and sparkling wine at Chatsworth House. The Hero Makers and all the marshals and volunteers were absolute superstars. One of the most memorable moments was when we emerged from the darkness of one of the tunnels on the Monsal trail to be greeted by choir of ladies singing their hearts out!
Was great to meet so many fantastic people, including Sansovino who kindly shared some of the gin he won for being a very well dressed cyclist with us. Can't wait 'til next year!

This backpack has been used to cycle 5 miles, and that distance was enough to make me realise that it wasn't going to get on with my 5'4" petite lady frame. It is basically brand new.

We just saw a flyer at registration for "L'Eroica Britannia"! It's going to be held in the Peak District next June. I recon they must have stolen the idea from Tilover...

Just assembled the bikes, which seem to have survived the flight ok. Off to register and grab a coffee now...

Myself and Billundben just arrived in Gaiole. Beautiful day here! Shame that the forecast says it won't last.

Haven't ventured into the village yet, we're sitting on the Castello de Spaltenna terrace drinking a beer.

I bought a merino Molteni replica jersey from them last year and it's lovely. A tad expensive but worth it, and the customer service I received was brilliant.

I registered a couple of weeks ago but for the life of me can't find the entry list for ladies so that I can double check that the registration went through. Does anyone know where such a list can be found? Maybe I'm being a half wit but I don't see anything on the official website....
