For sale I have my trusty steel road bike. I bought this newly built up about four years ago, used it as a commuter for the first two years and to train on the second two. Now I've made the jump to 21st century road cycling and this needs a new home.
Frame:
ST c2c: 59cm
ST c2t: 60cm
TT c2c: 58cmIt's made of Columbus SP and has it's fair share of paint chips. I've covered most of them with anti corrosive paint since I wanted to keep the original paint job. Otherwise it runs straight, is not bent or has any structural damage. It's been serviced regularly and always taken good care of.
Specs:
Crankset: Shimano 600 Tricolore in 175mm with 53/39 rings
Front Derailleur: Shimano 600 Tricolore
Rear Derailleur: Shimano 600
Brake/Shifters: Shimano 600 (left cap missing, only cosmetic)
Hubs: Shimano 600
Headset: Shimano 600
Rims: Mavic Open 4CD
Stem: 3ttt 110mm
Handlebars: 3ttt Ergo 400mm with white Fizik Microtex
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR flow - white/perforated
Tyres: Vredestein Fiammante DuoComp (300km tops, practically new)More Pictures:

2mm deep would be through the tube wall on a 555
It's the lugged 2006 (i think) model. It might not be 2mm but its a noticeable indentation.
Its this one, and the chip is under the first o in look on the down tube.

I'm looking to buy a used carbon frame, a Look 555. It's in good condition, except for one chip that was caused by a rubbing cable during shipping, not a crash or an impact. Its about 1-2mm deep and 2cm long. Could this have an effect on the structural integrity of the frame? It's not at a junction point, its on the down tube where the shifter cables run.
This would be my first carbon bike, therefore I have no experience and I'm a bit skeptical. Any ideas, anyone?
