A friend of mine has a Master X-Light with Chorus 8-speed. Largest sprocket is 23. Is it possible to get an 8-speed cassette with 28T sprocket? Largest I can see is 26.

Can anyone explain how power stored by Kers is used to boost the engine when released?

We have some red Donohue but they have very short column as they are from a very small frame. Would be possible to get a new column brazed in by Winston at Vaz if you were desperate.

Is it called WD40 in Italy? I can never find WD40 or GT85 in Italy or Germany when we need to give the chain a spray. All the ones we can find are oily and we end up with black messy chains when packing the bikes to come home. One year they were so bad I split them off and dumped the chains.

Try reversing the axle. If that works, either leave as is (no one will notice the LH crank is a few mm out) or take time to look for an axle with that spacing on the drive side. Remember to measure before you install as it will be too late when it is assembeld!!

Ream the shell and recut Italian thread?

We want to take a couple of bikes Paddington to Reading at 18.00 on Saturday 17th and return same time on Sunday. Some trains are non-stop on their way West and others take longer as they stop on their way to Oxford. Obviously we would need to book on the non-stop trains but what about the Oxford trains? Are they just walk-on like the trains to Cambridge?

Paul Donohue used to build track frames for the Manchester Velodrome junior riders but I thought they were transferred as Graham Weigh. Maybe he sold a few direct to customers. He built us a really small road frame based on them but with sloping top tube.
