tel, thanks for the advice, he does want $750 for it, but i'll just wait till the end of the auction and see.. nobody has bid yet and i'm not in a mad rush, I do understand that they ain't the best made frames, but thought that it had the right look to it, I just didn't want to buy something that will rattle to bits or will break all the time..
if anyone else has ridden the visp frame then there comments would be appreciated.
cheers.

Hi all,
i've just moved over to oz and i'm looking to buy my first single speed.
As I don't have any tools, then I am looking for one that's already made and came across this one.
can you let me know if it's any good or not?
it's up for $500, which is about £300 at the moment, so didn't know if it's decent value or not.
any advice would be great. thanks.

Hi all,
i'm new to all this, but i've been checking out the types of frame to build myself a single speed with some flat bars on..
i've seen something similar to this one.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110609312750#ht_708wt_1139and wanted to know if that's a good starting point? or should I be looking at something else?
I understand that the fork won't take a front brake, so i would probably change the fork to accept a front brake and see the one that is currently on there.
any advice would be appreciated.
thanks.

Cannondale R700 Triathlon/Time Trial Bike. This has been a well looked after race bike. It is in good condition and is ready to ride (no pedals with the sale). The Spinergy Rev X (Tubular Tyres) wheels have only been used for approx 450 miles of racing and are in very good condition, no nicks or dings. Neither the bike nor the wheels have ever been crashed or dropped. The equipment on the bike is as follows:
Shimano 105 Groupset: Front and rear Brakes, front and rear Mech, Hubs (on training wheels), Cranks, 650c
Rev X Spinergy Wheels (very good condition) including tubular tyres
Vittoria Pro-Team Extreme XP tubular Tyres (cost me £50 each)
Training Wheels (good condition)
Profile Aero bars
Grip Shift Aero bar-end shifters
Vantage Tange headset
Coda 700 Seat and Aluminium Seat Post (Aero bottle holder included)
My guess is that the 54cm frame is good for a rider between 5'8" and 5'11", I am 5'10"
dontation to the forum will be made from the sale. thanks for looking.
£600.00.
bike located in Leeds.

nice one, i do like the look of this, but upon closer inspection of his ebay feedback, it would appear that he's bought all the parts from this account, and it's all listed with full contact details on there, so I reckon my small investment into some tools till my toolbox does come from the UK will save me a fair few dollars..
frame $140
wheels $100
seat $15
crankset, chain $50
handlebars $18
stem $40
front brake $50
tyres $40
pedals and clips $20
so i make that about $470 and i can maybe change a few things on there to suit?
Is there anything else that i'd need or is that it? seems that the wheels are complete when you buy them off ebay here, similar to the ones being sold on here, 40mm deep v section, but there $80.00 + postage here.. at last something cheaper than in the UK..
will i need a lot of tools? suppose just order it and then buy the tools to suit, unless anyone know's off hand?
