The stretch between Windermere and Ambleside isn't pleasant. There is a path for a small section of it, but most is tight and twisty and busy so you pretty much always get close passes. If you have time there is a nice gravel path on the west side (get the ferry) which takes you up towards Ambleside and is almost all off the road. Other than that, there are regular buses.

Spent six months cycling around Europe last year with my partner. She had a Riverside 520, almost stock but with wider gear range and marathon plus tyres. I had a Trek 920 that I got as frameset on here and built up with a flat bar.
We were both running dynamo lights, for a bit of extra safety, and I had a cycle2charge usb headset attached to mine - it worked well on flat days to charge a battery pack, but as soon as we hit hills I was either going too slow to charge or the downhill was too short a time period. I wouldn't bother with the usb again, a fast plug charger and a battery pack would be better.
We carried loads of stuff as we were in no rush and wanted to enjoy off-bike time too, so all panniers were stuffed and heavy. Big Agnes 3 man tent, little chairs, multiple pans etc.
I ran tubeless tyres which I began to regret about two months in when a valve failed, leading to needing an inner tube and more punctures. They worked well when actually tubeless though, gravelking 50mm lasted about 4.5k km. Otherwise everything was perfect and haven't made any changes since.

My partner rode one for a six month tour in Europe, on a mix of surfaces. She got it especially for the task, and we fitted an old 10x3 deore groupset and put on marathon tyres, but everything else was stock I think. It was faultless for the whole journey. Yes it's heavy and overbuilt but those extra few kgs don't make much difference when fully loaded.
The fact it has everything you need for a tour without having to mess around with lights and mudguards and racks was a bonus to us. There are also decathlon stores all over Europe so if we had any issues (we didn't) we could get spares.

North Face doing a year free of Strava subscription (usually £55) with a purchase of trail running gear. Best if you actually need something from that collection, but there are things less than £55.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to reviews of this, these were open mold frames and it used to change from year to year which mold they used. I had an unbranded one direct from China in 2011 the same as your photos and remember being surprised Mekk we're selling exactly the same but as their own design. It was a good frame and never had any issues, but nothing special. £100 is fair. Good luck with the sale.

Listened to the this the other week, and suggested alternative medicines/supplements/biohacks can lead to a distrust in the medical profession (or come from a distrust), then COVID happened, policy driven by the medical profession tied in to government. You get to conspiracy theory pretty quickly. That was part of it, may have not remembered exactly.

The path is mostly gravel, bit of forest track. I've done it on 35mm slicks but think 28 may be risky. If you're confident riders, the A591 is probably fine but it's not enjoyable.
Buses are good, best option for just getting places easily. They get used loads by hikers.
