But I would like to replace my peugeot 24mm seatpost. Longer and shinier would be best.

I've looked at that yellowjersey website but I'm sorry, I'm not paying $70 for a seatpost.

Coke cans also don't really appeal to me....

Hi all,

I have for sale a Raleigh Rhapsody complete bike ready to ride away. I picked this up out of a friend's garage. I have stripped it down, cleaned every part, rebuilt it and adjusted all the brakes and gears and it rides like beauty now!

It's a ladies/step-through bike with a kick stand in very good condition with no scratches or damage to the frame or parts. It was first purchased from Young's Bike shop in Lewisham, I guessed this from the sticker on it!

The wheels are 700c and the tyres are still in pristine condition, the frame size is 49cm from the bottom bracket axle to the top of the seat tube. It has 5 gears at the back and a single cog at the front.

It comes with two mud-guards and a pannier rack. It has weinman brake levers in good condition and unmarked brakes but they look like weinman brakes. The rear mech is a sachs huret as shown in one of the photos and the cranks are cottered.

I have polished the wheels and they are now very nice and shiny. The saddle is a bit worn but that can easily be replaced (i have one on sale here for 5 pounds or similar) and the bike includes a frame pump which can be seen in some of the photo.

This bike is a collection only item in South East London in the Greenwich/Blackheath area although I am happy to come and meet at a local train station. I'm looking for around £60 although will consider any reasonable offers.

i know! dont think im going get it! but yeah, just before the summer i picked up my complete peugeot esprit off the bay for 50. just neeed to replace the front forks, buy a new set of wheels. but would be nice to get a complete one and get a frame to my mates.

got hit by a car in belgium on my peugeot esprit. need to replace the front end and my mate wants to buy the frame off me. and i like them as a single speed.

something you dont like about them?

I'm looking for a peugeot frameset minimum, would prefer a complete bike, for around the 60-70 quid area.

needs to be roughly 57/58cm in size.

can't find anything that suits me really so all help very welcome :)

1) Pair of Weinman type 500 brakes. Been cleaned and all the original bits are still there apart from one nut which has been replaced. Can be seen in the photos. Still in good working order. £8

3) Unmarked chainset-outer ring 52 teeth, inner ring 42 teeth. 'Made in France' stamped on the inside of each crank arm. These are square tapered cranks. £10

4) Unmarked bottom bracket. English thread. 111mm axle. Bearings included although a bit used. Axle and cups in good condition for their age. £5

I have for sale a pair of wheels off my peugeot esprit from the 1980's.

Both wheels come with the tyre but no inner tube, they have bot been cleaned and polished and run well.

The front wheel has a mailard hub with a Rigida 700C rim. it has a quick release axle.

The rear wheel is also quick release with an atom 6-speed freewheel. from what i can make out the rim has been made in birmingham by 'the midland wheel' and the hub is again french but don't think it's maillard.

Collection only in South East London. £25 for the pair. Open to reasonable offers.

I have for sale an old drop down handlebar off of a peugeot esprit bike i bought.

They will fit into a 22mm stem
The chrome is a bit old and in parts there is surface rust, there is also an area with no chrome as shown in one of the photos. £5
