URGENT UPDATE - PLEASE SHARE . Despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the track has been declared not safe to use tonight because of the building activities. Tonight’s Vets League is therefore CANCELLED. Many apologies for the late notice, it was all looking positive an hour or so ago. Any pre entries will be refunded or transferred.

No Saturday sessions for next two weeks as track is closed to prepare for and host the World Cycling Revival.

To find out if there are more dates coming up you will need to contact HHV.
If you do next Wednesday it really shouldn't be a problem that you haven't done a race training session at HH for a while. The accreditation is fundamentally about safety, so if you are judged to be a safe rider during the session you will, I'm sure, pass.

We recommend between 4 and 6 'Track Skills' sessions before taking the training accreditation test. It is important that a rider is very comfortable riding a track bike on the velodrome before moving on, because only then can he or she start thinking about what is going on around them rather than just basic control. The Intermediate sessions are run at a quicker pace than the Track Skills sessions and we are simply looking for riders to be safe (and not a risk to others) riding in that environment.
Some riders become competent faster than others of course, so if in any doubt, just ask one of the coaches who will be happy to help and advise. -

Summer Saturdays start this weekend at the track! All of our public track sessions will move back by 1 hour from this Saturday, March 4th, until the autumn. The new schedule is:
09:00-10:00 - Youth Track Training
10:00-12:00 - Intermediate Training
12:00-13:00 - Track Skills SessionWeekly track inductions will also return from this weekend, every Saturday from 13:00-14:30. Touch of wheels during the first exercise and 5 or 6 riders came down, one particularly hard and a likely collar bone break. Hoping all involved make a speedy recovery.

Thanks. The cycling story is that Breitling provided official timing for a number of races in the early 50's including the Giro (or Tour D'Italie in French) and made commemorative watches. This is a 1951 model.
