Read somewhere that the handle are designed to come off without damaging the mechanism if forced. Obs you’ve not done that in this case but you should get a replacement from them.

I've been using this which was recommended by the bloke who refurbed them a while back.
He said the key is that it doesn't crack over time with floor movement and crumble.And ladder falls... I did my gutters at a simular height recently and felt very sketch, not sure I will do it again.

I know it’s not growing season but thinking ahead. Anyone tried growing clover instead of grass in problem shady areas?
Have a patch that only grows in summer when sun is higher and dies back in winter.

If it's clay soil maybe add organic matter before you try to put grass down again.
If you are starting over prep's well worth it.I recently got a dog so yellow piss patches are now a feature on mine, which I just try to keep moss and weed free now.

Late last year I was running (just off Fox Lane N14 :) when this fox started running alongside me. I stopped and said hi. Someone had been feeding him/her good stuff I suspect, so tame.

It’s spent a few decades in a public changing room so I’m sure it’s got some tales to tell. -
Perhaps one for a wood work thread by I’ll try here first. My local leisure centre is having a refurb and after asking managed to get this out of a skip.
It’s very heavy and hardwood and I think was in the changing rooms. Was obs thinking of using this as a garden bench, would I need to revarnish to protect… If so any advice?

In my experience, this is a bit of a marketing thing.
Any grass seed will do and it's more about the prep to make sure the ground surface is loose and free of other debris and well-raked with nice topsoil. Then you need water and light ensuring that it doesn't dry out... tricky in current weather.
