Hey everyone,
Sadly I've got to sell my 2008 Cannondale Capo...
I've owned the bike for less than 2 years. Its hardly been used and has been well looked after, less than 200 miles cycled on it as I've had two knee ops since buying it :-(
Frame is pretty much as new, no dents or bumps, just some minor wear at the drop outs.
The rear hub is still set up for free wheeling as it came from the shop but is flip / flop so can easily be fixed. Comes with both brakes and pair of new toe clip pedals (I had SPDs on it and I've transferred these to my other bike).
I'm 5'11" and it fits me though wouldn't suit anyone taller, as a rough guide I'd suggest it would be good for someone between 5' 8" and 5' 11".
I'm in Manchester and would prefer not to post it but can be arranged if pick up is not an option, alternativley I might be able to bring down to London this weekend if we can do a quick sale.
Looking for £350 for it. PM me if you're interested!
Cheers,
Stu

Hi all,
I put my '08 Cannondale Capo on page 32 of this thread but I don't think anyone local was interested... no? Dr Chan had mentioned putting it on the main classified page and posting it (I presume most people looking would be in London). Has anyone got any advise on posting a bike in the UK? Or on selling stuff on here in general?
Cheers, Stu

Awesome. Don't think I was the guy on the black power assisted capo... unless by black you mean red, and by powered assisted you mean, errr, red... :-)
Photo attached below. Its 54cm and I'm looking for £375 for it.
I've owned the bike for less than 2 years. It has been used disappointingly (for me)
infrequently and has been well looked after / stored. Frame is pretty much as new,
just some usual wear near the drop outs. Its still set up to free wheel as it came from the shop and I've not made any changes. Can't keep it myself as I've got nowhere to store it any more and I've (rightly or wrongly) chosen my geared race bike as its a bit more versatile (but nowhere near as nice.
Let me know if you've got any questions or if your keen to see it (the bike is in Sale).

Maybe someone can point me in the right direction... I'm in Manchester and I've got a 2008 Cannondale Capo to sell, is this the right place to post the details or should I go through the main 'For Sale' board? Don't seem to be many complete bikes in the north west marketplace... though I'm sure you could put something pretty unique together with all the bits and pieces!

I flew down to Marseille from Manchester (via Gatwick) with BA in April. Turned up at the airport all smug that I'd packaged my bike really well in a cardboard bike box and got hit with a £30 charge because it weighed 24 kg (limit was 23kg) - that made me angry.
Luckily my bike arrived in perfect condition, I would have been really mad to have paid extra for the priviledge of letting them break my bike.
A thumb up to well padded cardboard boxes from me and a thumb down to the guy at the BA check in desk in Manchester!
sold.
Cheers, Stu
