The only time I ever thought of something to say on the spot:
Car pulls out from side road, stops in middle of road causing me to have to stop too.
I gesticulate.
Driver rolls down window, says “I’ll remember your face”
I chuckle and retort “I’ll remember yours too because it’s so fucking ugly”
He is stumped.
I ride off.
He doesn’t follow me with a gun.

Will be watching this with interest. I plan on building up a Wolverine over the coming months for winter commuting. I've done mucho "research" and the Woverine seems to have a bit of a niche for itself.
- Good quality steel tubes
- Singlespeed with vertical dropouts
- Disc brakes
- Ample clearance
- Relatively affordable
- Good quality steel tubes

My commuter runs Schwalbe One tubeless tyres on Ultegra 6800 wheels, each filled with 30ml of Stan's juice.
I recently sustained a 2-3mm sidewall tear, with immediate deflation. Not having a spare with me it was shanks' pony all the way home. The inside of the tyre needed cleaning off with a paper towel, I then applied a regular patch to the inside and filled the small hole on the outer casing with super glue - I've not had any problems since.
I imagine repairing the inside of the tyre with a just regular patch, at the side of the road, would at least get you home.

I agree, I'd like to see Dave and his cronies leading the troops out of the trenches.

I agree something needs to be done to stop the ISIS psychos, but something needed to be done with the psychos in Rwanda, DRC, Sudan, Eritrea, Bosnia, Indonesia, ect, ect, ect. Obviously this forthcoming clusterfuck has nothing to do with egos or oil.

Been building this up very slowly over the last year, mostly comprised of ebay finds and the odd new part. I'd originally gone with gears - too much faff for me though, I'm set on SS now with a Beer Components EBB. Just waiting on Sugino 46t front chainring, pedals and bar tape.
I'm still not sure what wheels to go with, it has ultegra tubeless at the mo, a little on the heavy side but hassle-free, have some carbon tubulars which are nice and light but would obviously not be commuting-friendly.
