Likewise. Mostly I use a router bit in a pillar drill with the feed locked - not entirely safe, but I'm more comfortable knowing the tool is fixed to the bench.
Most pillar drills have a Jacobs chuck in a morse taper, often without a drawbar, so the lateral forces and vibrations from an interrupted cut can unseat the chuck from the spindle.
You can get a router lift kit to mount a 1/4" trim router into your work surface. Attached example.

A bunch of people were present on both BS and Twitter but having different conversations on each, now people are using their BS presences more.
Consciously decided to stop scrolling Twitter a week ago, now only have it in case of DMs/notifications, got a schoolfriend who's extremely online on Twitter who also posts his stuff on FB, but I try to avoid arguing the toss about US politics etc on FB.

I've just built a wheel using a NOS Shimano CB-E110 hub that is missing its nuts. From Shimano's exploded view diagrams I know it's a 3/8" axle, and the part number for the nuts is Y28615000. From googling I've found that this axle has 24tpi threads while pretty much every other hub with a 3/8" axle uses 26tpi.
Nowhere I'm familiar with has Y28615000 in stock, and I'd rather the fancy nuts with a captive spinning flange.
Where has nice 3/8" 24tpi wheel nuts?

Some car journalists decided about 16 years ago to parody 24h Le Mans by organising multi-class endurance races for $500 cars. Safety equipment is budget exempt. Themes and fancy dress are encouraged. Good themes get you some leeway on budget penalties (normally -1 lap per $10 over), the best themes get a pass, as do cars they love to see, like korean luxury cars, old and rare stuff, stupid engine swaps.
Their youtube channel has race reports and features about prominent teams, storied car models etc.

Went to add Safety Dance to the spotify playlist for tomorrow (now today actually)'s Sheffield polo tournament. Someone else already added it.
Among the songs I added earlier: Ring My Bell by Anita Ward, Mirror in the Bathroom by The Beat, Help The Aged by Pulp and Manic Street Preachers' Miss Europa Disco Dancer (which has epic guitar and bass riffs and also a refrain of "Braindead motherfuckers" in the outro) and their cover of We Are All Bourgeois Now. Good bit of variety.
