I have been asked by a neighbour to help her sell off her late fathers collection of bikes & parts. He was 90 when he passed away & was cycling up to 6 months before he passed on.
I have visited & photographed what can only be described as a life time of cycling.
There are complete bikes, frames, cranksets, pedals etc. ... even some Chater Lea chainrings, unused & in their original wrappings. (pics 40-42)
There are some frames with fancy lugwork & a nice looking track frame (?) (pics 23-27) as well as more everyday bikes the newest being from the 1980's. The condition ranges from restoration project to rideable.
All are for sale. If anyone is interested please contact me & I will pass your details on.
The lady who is selling this collection is considering having an open day so people can come & browse through the many cycling items that are there.
Here is a link to a gallery with just some of the many items.

I may be able to help with the 40 spoke wheels.
A neighbour recently passed away & his daughter is disposing of his entire (well used) collection of bikes. Many are vintage machines in need of a service / restoration.
There are 1 or 2 with 40 spoke SA hubbed rear wheels along with all sorts of spares ... even found some unused & still in their original wrapper Chater Lea chainrings!
Let me know if you are interested & I'll put you in touch with the seller -
Hi. I am a new member to this site (but am on the CTC site as part of the admin team)
I have been asked by a lady to help her dispose of her late fathers cycle collection.
Amongst the parts are some used & some unused (& still in their original wrappers) Chater Lea parts.
As soon as I can post threads on here I will put an ad in the for sale section with details.
Regards,
Ken.
At the moment there are no fixed prices.
The condition of the items varies considerably so an inspection before purchase is highly recommended !
The items are located in Northampton. As yet I don't know when the 'open day will be - but probably within the next 2 - 4 weeks.
There are many more small items which have not been photographed.
I'm afraid my knowledge of vintage stuff is zilch !
I should be able to get access to the collection in the next week or so & will try to answer any questions then A little bit of patience will be required on this one ... I will do my best !
Regards to all & thanks for the interest so far :-)
