The frame says "Diamond Road", the seller tells me.
Here is a large pic of the derailleur:
http://imgur.com/bTlQW.jpgI'm thinking it might be the same bike as this (this pic is not from the seller of the above bike):

I read this thread:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread44426.html
but I'm not sure I have the same type of hub as I don't see any cone. This morning I wasn't able to move the wheel sideways. At the end of a ride later today it started rattling a bit when riding on cobblestones (which it has not done before). I'm able to move the wheel sideways about 3mm. I can only do it when the wheel is in a certain position. I have to grab and wiggle the affected part of the wheel. When I turn the wheel a half turn it doesn't wiggle. The bike is only a week old.
Here are two pictures:

So what you're saying, is that the colour was of such importance to you, that it made you make that gamble?
Not sure what you're saying here. But, nope, the gold was not available in 57 either. It had nothing to do with colour.
Perhaps you meant that there were other bikes with the Reynolds 520 frame?Anyways, I stumbled across a taller seatpost and I now enjoy the ride. :)

I'm 187. Inseam 90 cm. The Flite 100 55cm should be a bit more like a 57cm they say. I was quite surprised it was so small. Did a test ride and really enjoyed it, guess it would work with a longer seatpost.
Considering selling it now though. Decisions, decisions.
Could upload a picture tomorrow to show what it looks like. -

Just got a KHS Flite 100 size 55. It's a bit on the smaller side for me and when the seat tube shows the maximum line in the "peeping hole" (horizontal with the top tube) on the frame I'd need an extra 4-5 cm to be comfortable. The current seatpost is 26.8, 22.5 cm long.
Would buying a longer seatpost (40cm or so) and raising the seatpost 5cm still put undue stress on the frame or will it be fine?

I've never had a bike that has toe overlap, so I don't know what it really will affect my riding.
After settling on the Flite 100 I read that it suffers from some toe overlap.
Sounds like an unpleasant experience and something you could actually run into if riding the bike in the city and making sharp turns.
Will using clipless pedals (SPD) result in less toe overlap?
Would a larger frame size (I'm looking at size 55) result in less toe overlap?
Does anyone have any experience with toe overlap with this bike/size? -

Lovely bike, that Crescent. I'll be adding it too to the Foreign OTP thread.
Yeah, do that. It's a decent bike for the price, but it has some things that aren't as well built as the rest. Saddle is really cheapish (but a brooks would look good on these), pedal cages (not the right word?) broke on the first day.You guys have any thoughts about the size of the 55cm bike? Top tube length seems a tiny bit longer than it should, if anything. But perhaps I could adjust that with a shorter stem, even if I got my hands on the larger one (57).
Regarding the c-c.
It's about three centimeters off on the seat tube range (from the competitive fit) from what I see. Seems quite a lot to me, but I don't know much about these things. Perhaps it's just easily adjustable by seatpost, perhaps not? Damn my long legs. There are several other bikes that compete with the KHS Flite 100, on looks, price, and also its steel make up.
Any special you're thinking of? Fuji Feather/Track Classic? So long the bike is a decent fit, you'll end up "growing into" your bike anyway.
What do you mean by "growing into"? Getting used to? -
Evans do ship to Sweden, Wiggle too...
I have the Bad Boy disc, year 2006 model I believe. SRAM gears.
The Bad Boy is bumpy as hell with hard tires. I've been riding some on my girlfriend's Crescent Valkenburg (steel), and it's a far more pleasant ride.I've pretty much settled for the KHS Flite, but it seems I can only get 55cm.
These are the sizes for the 55cm: 55 c-c / 58.5 c-t/ 56 toptube.Compare that with:
And I believe it is on the small side. What do you think?
The seat tube length is 58.5cm for the Flite 100 and 57cm for the Pista Steel I Tried.
Top tube is the same for both (56cm) -
I'm looking for my first OTP single speed bike.
I have looked at the "The definitive OTP ( Off-The-Peg ) List"-post. I'm trying to find out what would be the best value bike for my needs.I currently have a 2006 Cannondale Bad Boy and I'm looking for something lighter, more easy to maintain and better looking. I'd also like to try fixed as a way to improve my pedaling technique .
I ride 20 km from and to work every weekday and I enjoy longer road rides on the evenings/weekends.
I'm a bit reluctant to pay an overprize for a snazzy colour scheme and no name poop components just because fixed is currently trendy.
I'd prefer a bike that doesn't have ultra extreme geometry and I will most likely not be using drop handlebars when I'm commuting because it is ergonomically awkward, because I'm a a wus and it screws my neck badly. I'm ready to sacrifice some performance for better ergonomy.
I will most likely not run it as a fixie when commuting (I'd appreciate the ability to coast), for longer rides I'd like to try running fixed, flip flop would be a bonus.
The frame should be drilled to accept a rear break (I realized the Pista is not). Acceptable prize is up to £600. I like dark color schemes and curved forks and flat crown fork lugs (i believe that is what it's called in english). If I could choose I'd appreciate if it didn't have deep rims. I do not like incline top tubes (Langster).
The black Mercier Kilo TT (with a short stem and a straight handlebar) looks like my dream bike, but it seems it is not sold in Europe (and bikesdirect.com wont ship it).
I have also been looking at KHS Flite 100, Felt Brougham, Fuji Track Classic. The KHS looks tempting too, but Cycle Surgery currently only has size 52 and 54 in Gold. A 57 or 60cm would fit me better, and I want black.
I like the looks of the Brougham (although I'm a little unimpressed by the weird b/w mixing on the front/back wheel).
I'm guessing 58 cm for the Brougham would be fine. I have tried the 57cm Bianchi Pista (chrome), it felt quite good and my LBS said it looked fine size wise.I will order the bike from the UK (I'm in Sweden) and will most likely not be able to test ride the bike (yes, I'm that crazy).
Here are my measurements (competitivecyclist.com fit calculator).
I am a male.
I see now what a mess this post is. Prepared for tl;dr's.
I start almost ever sentence with an I.Thank you.

You will not see much fjords in Sweden I'm afraid, but I hope you'll have a great time.
If you're up for some nice biking I really recommend taking the ferry (Viking Line) from Stockholm to Åland (finnish island, swedish speaking though). You can take the bikes on the boat (costs 320 SEK for 1 person with 1 bike, both ways).
Good luck!
What does the bolt closest to the wheel do? Should this be tightened? Any recommendation on a tutorial for "repackacking and retightening of the wheel bearings and axle nuts"?
