Im getting close to finishing my Kona rat project/ winter hack.

I found a 96 lava dome frame in a skip, and am building it the rest up from bits i found Im my parents shed and cheap as chips used bits from my LBS!

I have nearly got it there. I recon one last push at the weekend and some £11 Renthal grips this weekend i will be riding it to work on Monday!

my only concern is gearing! Im obvs running it single speed. i was thinking of going 42 14 on it as i have a chain set with a granny ring, 34 ,42..and i was given a 14t rear cog..what will this be like on a 26? my ride to work is as flat as holland(cycle route 21)has no hill's to speak off..i used to run a dolan track fixie with a 42/16..and that was way to spinny!

Anyone run somthing siliar to this on a 26" comuter?

I'm sure red, green, and yellow are in there smewhere....

Im looking for some crazy/speckled/splatter/pattern bar tap/cork/ribbon.

Idealy im after green, red and yellow , but will settle for green and red and at the very least red and black(which i found on the bay!)

anyone know were I can get this crazy stuff?

I have a set of aluminimum silver track bars they are in good shape they have no real signs of wear other than around the clamp area a few clamp scuffs (no dents though!). They are fat bars/over sized (31.8mm)

brilliant i will post some pictures of our bike store at work...there are some fantastic examples like the man who locls his seat post....thats right takes his D lock out of his bag then locks it round his seat post to nothing, while the bike is in a cycle rack...quality!!

sorry i cut and paste that in and has come out a bit strange..

basicly new unused tektro RL340 levers £ 5 collected from tooly street during the day. or swap for a BMX style right hand lever.

I had this when i was at uni, i just used to grin and bear it, however i suggested that the rent was being paid on time and there was no damage to my room/house. They soon got board of asking after that, but I recon the sheet trick would not be a bad idea.
I was told by one of my other house mates that the land lord could not remove the bike from my room unless he was accompanied with bailiffs,i figured he was highly unlikely to call in the bailiffs to maintain fire regulations...

im looking for a cheap batter old BMX of a good brand (no argos/asda TAT)

24 or 20 inch, idealy a race BMX with V brake mounts (as i want to use it at Brockwell park) but in open to offers.
