I'm after some bluetooth earbuds(?) for general use and occasionally when on the bike.
Don't need to be audiophile quality and I'd actually like some noise leakage so I can keep an ear on the world around me. I have found that in the past, my (not expensive, wired) earphones would get drowned out by the wind whooshing past them on the bike. Maybe my expectations of some noise leakage but no whooshing are mutually exclusive, dunno.
I'd mainly be listening to music and podcasts/talk stuff.
Any recommendations?

Any table wouldn't be put into serious use. I have a sort of side thing going (metal but not bikes, low precision) on but unfortunately it keeps getting interrupted by actual paid desk work.
MAC were the ones I was looking at. I've been looking (casually) for a decent lasercutting service for a while for my other activities, so if you can recommend one I'd appreciate it.

I've not been on here in ages (hello) and I came across this thread and very interested in these DIY lasercut fab tables mentioned by @Fishfabs and @retrodirect/glowbike
Did anyone get one in the end?

Couple of randoms here.
A Park Tools SAW-1 hacksaw. I just have many other saws and this one was surplus to requiement. Will put a fresh 18 or 24t blade on for you. £10
Silver road wheels for a beater or even a nice bike. Whatever you want. 700c, 100 and 130mm OLN, but also have disc flanges? I used them with rim brakes. £35
These are in Manchester, so prices include postage. Shoot me any questions you might have. Cheers.

I actually forgot to mention I should be getting these Rivendell Roly Polys (no me neither, but low cost plus not buying new has swayed me)

Thank you Andy. That's a bit more than I wanted to spend, but an extra tenner on each tyre is vastly preferable to hours of browsing through review sites and specs. The thing that gets me is for each tyre, there will be [brand] [model] which costs £20 and is (apparently) shit, but the same [brand] [model] GT2 will be £70 and the (apparently) best you can get.

I used to use Clement LGG Strada but now they appear to no longer exist as a tyre or a company? I stopped paying attention to bike parts around the first lockdown, so what are people using for dependable winter road clinchers in 25c? Before that I used Durano (plus?), but the LGG were a bit more supple...

Hello residents of this forum.
After two punctures in two training rides, coupled with a heavy workload and limited free time, I've decided to bite the bullet and get an indoor trainer.
I don't need it to be smart in any way or sync up with any device. I train using HR on my Garmin and that's it. No Zwift or Strava or Trianing Peaks or anything like that.
I do some 'spiky' sessions for cross in the winter, and some more sustained efforts for (10 mile) TTs in the summer, and rarely train for more than 90 mins at a time.
So Ive narrowed my choices down to rollers or a 'dumb' (wheel on?) turbo trainer. I think I'd prefer something I can sling my only road bike on and off with as little fuss as possible. And does anyone have any recommendations that aren't ridiculously expensive?
thanks for firing up the fizz, signal, brother amey.
I do still pop on here occasionally. This place holds a certain place in my heart, and I will miss it.
Thanks to bossman and the rest of you for making it a decent ride. Will be keeping an eye on what the new place(s) might be...
