Hello, fellow tall freaks. Here's my Surly Steamroller that I used to ride before the plague hit. Then I decided to build a Straggler for a better chance at survival.
The frame has seen a fair share of use, as you can see from the paintwork (scuffs and scratches), but it's not bent or has any dents.
What you get:
Surly Steamroller Frame, Black, Size 62cm
Surly Steamroller Fork
Shimano BB-UN54, 68, BC1.37x24, 110, bottom bracket
Cane Creek headset£75
The bike is in London. I hate dealing with couriers, and I would love it if you could pick it up.

Hi I know you said the frame is 58 but could you tell me the seat tube and top tube can't seem too find the geometry online
Here you go — http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-us/bikes/lifestyle/2344/32159/#geometry I still need to double check if it's 58 and not 55. Will update in the evening.

Anyone running FSA Vero cranks? I have them on my current Bowery build and I would like to keep them on my Steamroller but also would like to get somewhat decent bottom bracket (currently it's a crappy Shimano UN54 with 110mm axel).
I was looking at Campagnolo Centaur or Record Pista but there's only 111mm option. Any clues how that 1mm would influence my chainline? I've looked at that massive list of drivetrain combos but all of the Vero cranks in there are listed with the same crappy Shimano BBs.
Thanks

Thanks for a quick response! I was eyeing Archetypes for some time now but I'm not sure how they would hold up to pretty frequent pothole fests of South London. From what I've seen SL42s are almost Chuck Norris amongst the road rims. Anyway I will switch to whatever is required as long as it is mirror polished.
As for Kojaks being narrower than others I don't mind that as I've been Conti fanboy for too long now.
Thanks everyone I promise to come back with more random questions as I move through the build (:

Hey everyone,
I'm about to start building my dreamroller. My reason for getting this frame was its massive clearances which speak directly to my fat tyre obsession. I'm concerned with my brake, tyre, rim combination which would be Shimano R451, Schwalbe Kojak 35mm and H plus Son SL42. In theory there should be no issues with the frame (I don't care about the mudguards that much) but what about the SL42s they are just 19.5mm wide. Do you think it's enough for 35mm tyres?
Many thanks

There's another bit. Quote from freewheel description "Please Note: ACS 16T - 22T freewheels thread on Standard English hub threads" I have Sheldon's freewheel threading table in front of me (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/freewheels.html) and it states that ISO threading is 1.375 x 24 TPI and British threading is 1.370" x 24 tpi That's not exactly the same threading or is it? I'm a bit paranoid about screwing up the hub.

Hello there,
currently I'm buying all the bits for a new rear wheel. Just got a GranCompe flip-flop hub and I can't get any info on the freewheel/cog threads on it. Manufacturer's website has nothing on it. I will be looking at the budget ACS 16T freewheel.
I'm a bit confused about all the different hub threadings going on as I come from MTB background and this is my first on-road bike.
Thanks

Hello everyone,
you've got another happy camper here. Last summer I've met a guy who was heavily involved in fixed gear bikes and slowly converted him in to downhill racer. Now I have a suspicion that this process worked both ways... I'm slowly building tall and skinny friend for my 8" travel freeride bike. MTBs compared to road equipment are like Legos to rocket science, but this forum answers most of my questions.
Besides bike addiction I work as graphic designer and motiongrapher so if someone needs some graphics done or moved I would be more than happy to collaborate.
Thanks everyone who PMed!
The frame went to velosaurus who was the quickest.
